Enterprise isn't a bad place to start fresh out of college as it is basically sales, whether renting vehicles or building relations with car dealerships and repair shops. I would suggest someone not stay there too long but some do and make a career out of it. Know people that spent well over 20 years moving through various roles within Enterprise. Other people I know that started at Enterprise went on to various different B2B type sales roles.

It was actually perfect bc I wasnt sure what I wanted to do and that role made me realize I have the right skillset to be in sales. Plus once I got to KraftHeinz they literally said they poached people from enterprise because they work you like a dog there. I know you can make a great career and living there if you can stick out the 50-60 hour weeks for a few years, it just wasn't for me long term. Served as a great stepping stone though!

Best way to break into sales is to get an entry level sales role at a furniture store or something similar to learn about problem solving for customers in real time. If you can articulate that experience huge corporate orgs will love you!

First of all congrats on climbing the corporate ladder and getting to the place you are at. That said - If I was an employer watching this I wouldn't really understand why I pay my salespeople $300k OTE. Could you at least pretend to prospect and wear proper clothes? The demo description has a bit of order taking vibes that is ripe for disruption with AI. Gonna admit it feels a bit cringe, this has similar vibes to all those tik tok meta recruiters that got laid off after posting their day in the life videos. PS - You are at least very handsome so its not all bad and take my feedback with a grain of salt, I'm probably some out of touch loser but there might be an ouch of truth in what I'm saying.

Thanks! I don't get paid anywhere close to that though haha Wearing "proper clothes" seems a little old hat.. We don't even show our face on the customer call so it really doesn't matter much. At the end of the day as long as I'm hitting quota its all that matters, I think thats the beauty of a sales role! Appreciate the constructive criticism!
