I came across your channel and I think you’re so brilliant. Very inspiring, you give us so much hope that’s it’s possible. I’m a medical technologist too and watching your videos gave me so much joy. Thanks for being out here and representing us. I wish you all the best for your new journey ❤

Working full-time and studying is wild! To say my days as an MPH student, while working as a medical Research Assistant was 'memorable', is an understatement. 😆

I’m only part time so it’s just two classes lol 😂 It’s kinda hard to juggle with 12 hr shifts. I’m mostly studying everything in one or two days a week. I would think working a more stable schedule, like M-F, would allow someone to study a little bit every day and split the material up over time.

You’re inspiring me to go into MLS. As an epileptic I don’t want to give up on the medical field, but I don’t want to work with needles. Thanks for your awesome vlogs and insight.

Thanks for sharing! I will say that we still may use needles to do certain testing, we just don’t have to stick patients

Can you do a video on how you study? I start clinicals soon and will need to study for the boards but have no clue where to start or what to do.

Sure! Thanks for the video suggestion! When I was heading into clinicals, I made a study schedule that divided up each subject per rotation. So, example - 4 weeks to study chemistry. I mainly did practice questions per category according to the ASCP BOC Outline document. And, if I got certain concepts wrong, then I would go review from my notes/textbook. After I finished rotations, I did around 100-200 practice questions daily until I sat for the exam from the ASCP BOC book, MediaLab, and HARR MLS Review Book

I am. Thank you. I recently started a Ms of Bioinformatics after completing Ms of Lab Sci. It's very different in Australia: Re all those accreditation courses. That's built in the course so no need to do more.
