I remember getting shut down/ discouraged when I was young whenever I try to do something. Whether sports, music, art and even girls scouts that I had to join clubs in secret, say they're just extracurricular activities. I even had to pay for them myself. I wanted to play violin when I was a kid, that got shut down so I had to wait 15 years to be able to buy one myself. So, as a middle child, I only started discovering myself in my early 20s but by that time, the damage has been done. Not realizing it, I have a very low expectations from myself that is why I give up very easily the things I love.
