I love your videos but I really struggle with the sound even with my ipad on maximum volume it's very soft and distorted. The country round where you are staying is really wild and beautiful, you are very brave to live there.

The audio is completely fine on my more than 3 year old iPad. I have to turn it up a few notches, but that’s okay! Some viewers may have older devices that struggle with audio quality. Loving the videos, Matt & Emilie - keep ‘em coming 😊

Several of you are complaining about the sound. I don’t know much about sound at all as I am deaf and I watch everything captioned. I suggest you turn on the Closed Captions to assist you. Also wanted to suggest that you remember they are out there all alone and it’s not like they can just hop in the car and go to Best Buy and purchase what they need to help with sound. If they could, they’d go buy a drone I bet. Amazon doesn’t seem like an option either because if it was, they’d be ordering their favorite food ingredients. Living out there means learning how to adapt and survive. If you lose your sense of hearing, you’re going to have to adapt. Captioning is a godsend. I remember my family watching “Laughin” and I had no idea what was so funny. Now we have captioning on everything. It’s wonderful.

Great rescue guys. I see you don't have drip guards on your kayak paddles. They would stop your hands getting wet. Also try paddling closer to the shore and taking advantage of the back Eddie's, which are calmer. It may be slightly more distance but easier paddling and usually a little less wind. Those sunny, calm days are precious this time of year. We went for a walk on Sunday on a logging road about 20 mins boat ride from home. Nice to stretch the legs and the dogs love it. ❤

Emilie: you ARE graceful. What you needed was a weather proof chair for that location to put on a very awkward piece of gear.

I had to turn up the sound a little more than usual, but it was okay. I hope you will be careful coming back in the kayak - waiting so late when it gets dark early up there, and coming back tired can easily add up to making mistakes. I loved that you freed the loon, and I'm glad the mousetraps worked. I thought that was brilliant!!! Take care, have a safe week:)

Yah I am not to sure what’s going on to be honest! I feel everyone’s frustration! I am spending hours rewatching and listening on different devices. As it sucks to read all the comments about it! It’s strange as it sounds fine on our side. I even increased the audio in the editing software, to a not so recommend level🧐

Cold wet hands while kayaking can be partially solved with rubber gloves. Problem though is when you dip the left paddle, the right hand is up in the air and water runs off your hands or gloves and right up your sleeve! You need wristers, rubberized sleeves that run from wrist to below the elbow with elastic on each end. You pull it up over your coat sleeve to below the elbow and then over the end of the glove. Maybe the lodge has some with their outdoor gear.

@@mybeautifullifewithhuskys1101yah I am sorry about that! I feel your frustration as it doesn’t sit well with us! I listen to it several times on different devices and it sounded fine on our end. When I play it on my 2012 Mac book air, it’s horrible because the speakers are old. I even increased the volume in the editing software. Really not sure how to fix this!

I watch on my Roku TV and have to have it at about 80 to hear it clearly. The same with my Android phone needs to be at full volume to hear clearly. It is fine, just a bit of a blast of sound when the ads come on. Must be so frustrating for you, I am sure. I love your videos!

I've been watching from day one and have decided to subscribe. It's almost Christmas and you are there, away from friends and family. But, you are together and that's the most important thing. My husband and I were separated for Christmases, anniversaries, birthdays, etc. during his Army career. I can see you making ornaments for your Christmas tree and baking cookies. Happy Holidays! God bless you both.

You need not offer any extras for us who do Patreon. The point of Patreon is to support a good thing not to place more work on the content creator. The part I like seeing most is the type of work you can accomplish out there all alone.
