The rise in suicides from pain patients being forced off their medicine or dramatically cut down Correlates with the rise of bootleg feytenol and heroin. When people hurt day in day out they don't care if it kills them. Life is torture and death is something you wish for and aren't scared of because severe chronic pain causes irrational thinking. Being one to live everyday and pushed through pain to work. I have worked hard outside jobs for forty years. So much wrong with me its pitiful and suicide is on my mind. Opiates gave me some hope to live and cope with it. I have stopped watching the news not because of the lies and threat of losing my meds. I hate the government. They have no business trying to be doctor's. My sister has almost died twice because of the non narcotic new pain medicines. She has has Stills disease since she was 15. She is 62 and they refuse to let her keep narcotics which work. It's torture. The definition of torture is putting unnecessary pain and harm on a person. That's what our totalitarian government forces doctor's not to do what is right.

Kurt Sherrick I'm sorry I understand totally. Too many people have unbearable chronic pain & no one knows what it's like until they have it. Some people are so ignorant & mean I wish it on them! I've had horrific experiences with Drs & pharmacies even BEFORE all this legislation was passed. What insanity makes politicians think they can practice medicene? I think it's part of the depopulation listed in Agenda 21 SUSTAINABILITY reducing the population by 2/3 by 2050. I kept thinking "It's like they're trying to kill us".....then I read Agenda 21. Media is run by CIA according to....the CIA in the JFK files released. The misinformation is staggering!!!! But the WHO has online it's every person's right to have pain controlled. Online, perhaps that's not recent. I want to move to a more progressive country towards addiction & pain control...which is anywhere but Australia & avoiding the G8 Countries who signed Agenda 21 in 1993. But so hard to do. Anyway, those deaths/suicides will be reported as OD's like you said. Watch Kim McKim's video "The slow death of compassion for the chronically ill". He's supportive & gives info from our point of view (his wife died in pain). Best of luck to you. Oh, my best friend/1st love was killed in a violent accident. He appeared to me in a dream. No background. No setting. No talking. He just smiled. He told me time doesn't exist there & everything will be OK past present future. I know, jumbled. But when I researched Near Death Experiences where people had clinically no brain activity but came back, they all said the same thing. No time exists there. Ultimate peace & overwhelming unconditional love & communication was telepathic. I know he meant ULTIMATELY things will be ok, but his face said better than OK & things HAVE NOT BEEN OK SINCE HE DIED IN ANY WAY. I know I was in his presence & he was struggling to be there....he wouldn't give me wrong info. I think he meant it's OK because things will ULTIMATELY BE PERFECT PERMANENTLY. I know this is true. I kept a dream diary on & off & had more than 10 dreams of his death when I read them. How he died. Crazy details. Other premonition dreams too. I'm saying....see you on the flip side! It will be better than imaginable! No matter what happens ....it's relatively a short time until perfect peace & love♥️

Denying access to pain relief is cruel, and inhumane. We don't even allow animals to suffer in pain in the U.S. This seems surreal and preposterous, to even imagine such thing. This is Government over reach of a colossal magnitude. Our Gov. has taken away the rights of Drs. to practice medicine with their patients.

I'm in so much pain, 24/7 365, that I wish to die, cuz I can't take the pain. I need pain meds, but my state restricts them, and I only get about a quarter of what I need to live. I asked my doctor last month, what's the point of living, if I'm not allowed to live? I want to be able to ride my bike, go for a walk or hike, do something fun, but I'm not allowed to. The state makes me go from the bed to the couch, & the couch to the bed. I haven't had any meds for 10 days, and I didn't get a Thanksgiving, I didn't get to go out with friends on Saturday to a game, I just stay in bed and cry. My doctor once told me that my functioning pain level, which is the level when I could work, and I had a very physical job, and only required aspirin or Advil, would knock a 200 pound man on his ass for a week. No one invites me to anything anymore, because they know I probably won't go. Can't be around large groups of people, cuz my immune system sucks. In the rare event that I can drive somewhere to meet friends, they usually have to help me out of my car, I need their help to walk or use a wheelchair. I've had so many surgeries and joint replacements, I've lost count. The pain can become so off the charts severe, even for me, and it can cause me to pass out. Sleep, these people who regulate our meds, let them feel what it's like when the weight of a sheet or blanket causes excruciating pain. I haven't slept well in decades. Just rolling over wrong can dislocate my shoulder. I hate these people that decide what's best for people like me, with absolutely no clue how people in chronic pain have to live. We don't live, we exist. I'm tired of existing, and not being allowed to live. 😢

@ Magical Patters There is hope on the horizon, a Dutch company "Reducept" recentely won the Wold Summit Award for a revolutionaire new way to combat chronic pain through virtual reality. In The Netherlands at the moment 15 hospitals are offering the treatment for 15 Euro, which isnt to bad but you got to buy the special vr glasses yourself. The results are very promising, and despite Dutch Insurance companies arent rebursting the treatment yet, but they are very interested in the new treatment. Ask your pain specialist about this treatment. I dont know where your from, but any real "pain specialist" knows about this new treatment.

Scary thing is sometimes it’s not even tangible pain, but a discomfort. Like let’s say a nerve is chronically damaged. The pain won’t necessarily be there but for the fact that the nerve is damaged, it causes the designated muscle not to FIRE appropriately, and other muscles will just spasm and compensate and put you in a state of complete insanity.

Debby Eutsay It's not the addicts fault. They're just the simple target. Insane media lies & politicians passing laws about medicene? This is 110% the government's fault! They aren't helping addicts they're killing ALL of us. Suatainability, population reduction, who do they want to get rid of 1st? The sick, elderly, disabled, poor, addicts, and US Vets. They've passed a lot of crazy laws & redefined "addiction" to mean "dependence" so CPP's are the same as addicts. Medical, but a pharmaceutical Co DR who is developing a new drug for ALL addictions changed it. The DSM-5 is the BIBLE for insurance co's & Drs. Big Pharma controls the gov or they're working together, but the gov does no favors to addicts either, although I get angry about it as well, they're killing themselves with gov supplied heroin & illicit fentanyl. No super cheap harm reduction it's illegal! Gov didn't start caring about junkies 1 day!!!! There'a a AIDS epidemic now. Bless you & watch Ken McKim's " The slow death of compassion for the chronically ill.....he's comforting with the truth. It will all work out in the end.

100-150 Million chronic pain pts & 17,000 opioid RELATED deaths meaning they don't know which of the drugs killed the person, suicides are included, Vets & CPP's are committing suicide I know 3 personally in the past year & a woman running a support group said 1 or more CPP's commit suicide each day. It seems the EPIDEMIC isn't opioids at all. But suicides and chronic pain. CDC list doesn't have ODs in the top 10....but suicide is in the top 10. Don't believe anything you don't research yourself.

I've been in pain for 11 years now, never a day of rest, and no escape. I've been waiting 6-7 months for a neurosurgeon to look at my MRIs, and nothing. There's stuff in my neck and back that's not where it should be, pressing on a nerve root, and then there's a chronic illness, and I constantly wonder how long I can take it. I constantly long for the smallest break, just a few minutes away. Guess what? I live in Florida, and if your doctor is kind enough to give you any pain meds, you're pretty much on probation. Meanwhile, someone my husband knows but doesn't talk to anymore, was addicted to pain pills and able to buy 60 of them a day. WTF? This isn't working. We're not criminals. We're not just looking for a thrill. It took forever for me to ask for anything, because changes in my state of consciousness are really frightening to me, but I couldn't take it anymore. It's so frustrating and unfair. I'm scared I'm going to keep worsening gradually until I finally drop dead, which some days, I hope can be that day. Actually, scared isn't the right word. It's terrified. I'm absolutely terrified.
