Thanks for the third vlog Jenny, been waiting a while! Good bluff action getting through on the 5/10 table - brave raising! The last hand could have been avoided but I love the honesty after the session. Also loved the pep talk before the session too…. ruin someone’s life!!! 😂

Love the vlogs so far. I don't think the jacks were played poorly, you just have to find enough bluffs that make sense when finding that call. You're killing it, keep up the great work!

mistakes are the blessing that keeps one improving. so many players hava trouble acknowledging their mis-steps and fall into the same pits over and over. keep up the studying and you will find many more mistakes that OTHERS are making so you can benefit from them.

Nice. On that last hand... There is actual strength and there is feigned strength. I get the feeling that your opponent conveyed feigned strength when he actually had actual strength. There is certainly an art to getting a call when you have the nuts. For food in Vegas, I like two channels: Norma Geli and Rockstar Eater. Both are entertaining and have good recommendations. Norma covers Vegas almost exclusively, but not only food. Rockstar covers a lot of cities.

I'm kinda old school, so I'm not as enthusiastic about solvers as it seems the new gen is. BUT.. using it for post analysis seems brilliant to me, 'cause you got the benefit of learning without it first and then like you said you get to meditate on the hand after. It's like getting the best of both worlds, developing your own innate style and then adjusting where you see fit with machine assistance. (Note: ^ Having said that, I'm ALL FOR the new gen using solvers, 'cause the meta will cause a lot of people to only know how to play "the right way" like a machine making it easier to "throw a wrench in the system".)

I dont like the second last hand (at the table) . Repping the 9 is silly in my opinion. There are too many draws regs would have put you on and even with a small kicker A I think many recreational players would call. Great choice on the Sushi though :)

In the study, you mentioned you watch a lot of Uri Peleg’s low/mid stakes videos. Do you find that playing/studying GTO still helps? Or does that hurt your game more since players at these stakes typically are not playing balanced enough where GTO is actually causing -EV? Asking since I’m on the same boat. I’m trying to study GTO and I also turn to Uri Peleg for a lot of of low stakes which for now I can bankroll properly.

also the 76s hand is a bit odd. I don't know how much 9x you actually have that calls a 3b from the BB, 98s probably folds bc of really bad reverse implied odds, So you maybe have like T9s, and A9s, that is like 4 combos. Also, most really strong hands would likely call, especially ip, vs a larger sizings. Comparitively, there are a ton of bluffs, all diamond draws, QJs/backdoor clubs etc. Wonder what they folded. 9x is actually a pretty good card for the oop player, since it drastically reduces the amount of thick value combos you have in the first place, and isn't a card you would have that much of to begin with.

good vlog Jenny, you have a major advantage playing poker as a female because nothing tilts men more than losing money from a woman. My advice is for you to get better at tells by reading books on Tells such as Zachary Ellwood Trilogy on Poker Tells. Another question why do you change stakes from 5/10 to 10/20 sometimes? You mentioned in your last hand when your gut told you he was bluffing that's when the poker tells and reads come into play more to know if your opponent is bluffing or have you crushed. You need to get into table talk when trying to pick up tells and then you can make a better assessment on the call, raise or fold especially on big pots. Good luck on your next vlog and session Jenny

There's 600 in the pot and you bet 200 only and you been playing with him for hours or less but you know what kind of player he is so his call is not that surprising. Enjoy your vlog waiting for next one. Learning too.

Took my mom with me about 3 weeks ago so she could play slots while I played poker. She showed up right before the next deal ready to go. I told her "Last hand and we are leaving". I had 22. Flop was 8 2 4 rainbow. Turn was another 4. River was A. I bet the flop and turn into 3 opponents and on river one guy led out big. I called and he turned over 84. I lost 95% of my profit on that hand because I just HAD to play 1 more 😢

why bluff with the KQss? That is like the worst combo of hand to bluff with in that spot. Also with all the studying you do, thoughts on all of your out of position play? you seem to be fairly aggressive as the pfr, which is interesting given that most studying suggests have a high x, to x/c or x/r, out of position

speaking of analysis - how much faith do you have in studying GTO that it actually applies to real live poker in Vegas? i imagine you're playing against a very very niche field of professionals that know GTO at a high enough level that studying GTO would actually be worth it. after all, isn't that how GTO works? it makes suggestions on how you could play but only against other players that are playing GTO?
