Wow, I'm not even an architectural artist, but I'm just impressed at how unconventionally and conveniently that Procreate can be used. I just tend to think of it as a sketching/painting app. It can be a full design suite with this kind of ingenuity. A great peek at a handy use.

Having done many 3d model renderings with lighting and having some drawings skills (and enjoying drawing), this is an eye opener. I could see using this with my own basic SketchUp and Thea renderings. I’ve done some of these techniques (like the bookcase) for those areas that “don’t have to be perfect”, but I do tend to belabor each rendering while struggling for just the right textures and lighting. This makes it more fun and I can certainly save time, especially for those one-off conceptual renderings-because I often feel that people are going to look at it only for a number of seconds and the general idea is the important thing, not the detail of my work.

Wow, thank you! Remember that you can tap that gear button at the lower right corner of the KZbin screen and slow it down while still keeping the audio intelligible. And yes, I do sometimes go fast but that’s because I’m trying to split the difference between beginners and intermediate like yourself. But I really appreciate your comment and I hope you keep commenting on more of my videos!

Always a pleasure to see your work James. Is it possible to pursue this line of visual rendering work for someone with no formal education or experience?

Hi Keri: I'm not really editing and SketchUp for iPad in this one. I am doing all this in procreate. Sorry if that wasn't clear. Have you tried procreate or are you only working with iPad so far in your career.?

@yaprakgezmen1658 Thank you so much-your kind words really made my day! I’m thrilled the video was helpful, especially if you’ve been feeling stuck with Procreate. This hybrid rendering process is great for anyone, even those who think they can’t draw-it’s all about simplifying the steps and making it fun. For anyone curious, I dive even deeper into these techniques in my courses (link in the description), where you can learn to create your own stunning renderings in just a weekend. No pressure, of course, but it’s there if you’re ready to take things to the next level! Thanks again for watching and sharing your thoughts-it means a lot. Keep creating! Best, James
