Greetings from Hawaii. You have to love Mama Rose and her advice about life. I am really happy to hear that you are not drinking alcohol. Actually, you really should stop alcohol altogether. I have lived a lot longer than you have and I know that alcohol just exacerbates our problems. I think you struggle with what your purpose in life is, and you are a person that wants to be in control of things in your life. It took me a long time to realize that control is an illusion. Life can change at any moment and we have no control over it. Mama Rose is correct, just be yourself. You don't have to achieve great things in life. But if you are a blessing to just one person, you have made a difference in the world. You like to think BIG and want to do big things but even the simplest act of kindness, if your heart is sincere, is a blessing to another. "Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around."
