If you like to analyze song lyrics, BTS (of which Jimin is a member) really deserve a listen from you. They do not produce the usual meaningless pop lyrics. They touch on subjects at a much deeper level. Even though 'Who' by Jimin is a love song, it is not your average love song. The intent of this song is immediately very easy to understand, but the heartfelt twist on love seems unusual to most pop lyrics. Not much analysis is really needed for this one, but I think it took a little while for you guys to figure it out because you were distracted with the incredible storytelling via the visuals. The choreography acts out the lyrics and the production enhances them. Thanks for giving Jimin a listen and I hope you will check out some more of his solo work and some BTS songs too. 'Fake Love' by BTS might be of interest to you as an introduction to the depth of BTS lyrics. It's a love song, but a dark one. Be sure to turn on the English subtitles because, unlike 'Who', it's sung in Korean.

✨Jimin’s name is credited in 6/7 songs, writing & composing for his already highly successful, record breaking 2nd album MUSE (which I do hope you also listen to or better yet, react to, also to equally successful, record breaking 1st album FACE). Jimin is also credited producing, with the exception of a couple of songs. Even on Jimin’s previous FACE album, though Jimin wasn’t credited producing, aside from Jimin composing most melodies, & pretty much writing all the lyrics, he indeed was involved, participating, as shown in Jimin’s FACE production documentary. Even though also not credited for song “Who” from his MUSE album, Jimin is always hands on, coming up with the concept of the song, what he wanted the lyrics to be about & mean. Working non stop on first FACE, then immediately after on MUSE since chapter 2 solos careers of the BTS members started til the very night before he left for military the following day! The end of December of last yr, which is required for every Korean to serve in, for around 18 months). And to add to this excitement to see an actual live performance of “Who” on Jimmy Fallon show which happened on Monday, July 22nd, which I urge you to watch or react to as well! There’s a reason that Jimin has been awarded the prestigious title of for 6 yrs in a row, Best Dancer of Kpop (though I believe it should be not only for just Kpop). As well as continually for 5 yrs in a row King of Kpop! JIMIN also has official title of Main Dancer & Lead Vocalist for BTS since their debut in 2013! Welcome to BTS! Jimin is part of the 7 member globally popular group from South Korea called BTS. BTS debuted back in 2013 and have a huge discography that crosses multiple genres. Since they are in various stages of completing their mandatory military service in Korea, all seven did solo projects prior to enlisting. I strongly encourage you to delve deeper into more of Jimin, as well as the the other members’ solo works and their body of work as a team. As a dedicated ARMY (which is the name of the BTS fandom), I’m very confident that you won’t be disappointed! To get a little feel of BTS’s diverse discography, you’d likely have fun checking out the 2021 Festa Room Live where they sing a medley of their B-sides from across the years. He's basically saying "Who is my heart waiting for" or who will I meet and fall in love with. He's actively looking for "her" which he says multiple times. "Never met but she's all I see at night, Never met but she's always on my mind", that means he has "never met her" and he's ready to give her the world, and be someone she can count on, when he finally meets her. I personally love how his choreography and dance moves are so descriptive in how it translates the meaning of the song, and what he is trying to say. As others have said, Jimin is part of BTS. Set Me Free Pt. 2 and Like Crazy are from his previous album and they have A LOT to dig into. Much darker than this but still amazing. You might enjoy BTS as well. They have a lot of music with really deep messages and lyrics (not the English trilogy). Their earlier works focused on SK youth and some of the struggles they face within their culture. Then they moved on to works that focused on growth and the darkness and temptation one faces. Then a series about loving yourself, one based on Jung’s Map of the Soul, and an album centered around the pandemic. So a lot to dig into.

When you mention confidence, it is the confidence of someone who has been part of the biggest global group, which was debuted in 2013 and is talented and skilled in his craft. At last estimate they had 90 million fans worldwide and they have approximately 1000 awards, including grammy. BTS have 11 years in the industry, with a back catalogue of nearly 300 songs (only 3 in english, rest with a mixture of korean and english, so turn on subtitles). They are all in the military currently (apart from Jin) and will be back together again mid 2025. Just before mandatory enlistment, all 7 members undertook their own solo projects, which is something they have always done as well as being in BTS. While in the military, they are not allowed to do anything else, so Jimin's album, MVs and performances (like all the rest of BTS), were produced before enlisting. Their label is releasing their new albums, photographs etc. throughout the 1.5 years they are in there, but they can't do any promotional work themselves. You can see how talented Jimin is. The whole group of 7 are very different and equally talented. BTS has 3 rappers and 4 vocalists and amazing choreography. They sing about more meaningful topics like mental health, societal expectations and self love, which is why their fan base is made up of all ages, not just young people.

Before BTS, he was at a performing arts/dance school. He started training at age 16 for BTS, dancing and singing every day. Their first song debuted in 2013. And he basically sang and danced and performed in concerts and music shows since. And also have had a reality comedy/game show with his members called Run BTS. So he does perform with CONFIDENCE with all his experience, but still maintains an almost shy personality off camera.

I really love the song! Jimin is really good. An all around artist that very talented but constantly working hard to improve himself. VERY HUMBLE, kind and warm person but exudes charisma and strong stage presence when on stage. He has a background in contemporary dance, hiphop, locking n popping..combined with his rare and unique voice for a male singer makes him lethal I would say. As a person he has inspires millions and me myself to love yourself, to be kind to yourself and others, to never give up on life. He’s good one, both as an artist and a person. Jimin is a countertenor. He trained in martial arts and dance as a child and debuted as a teen in 2013 with BTS, the South Korean global stars. ✨It’s amazing the so many things Jimin worked on, so many places Jimin went, all that he did non stop, including filming in the abandoned unused resort in Korea, where the Jimmy Fallon Tonight show performance, was filmed, that closed in 2022, that had housed now abandoned swimming pools, not in use anymore. Which is where Jimin went to film the live performance. 🔥(Which I urge you to react to, adding filter to cover screen somewhat ti be safe from being removed)! Jimin’s vocals live, which you can tell. are always even more amazing, since still able to do so with all that equally amazing dancing such with such strenuous choreo. JIMIN also flew to Hungary, only for a couple of days just to film the “Who” MV, which he also created and oversaw the choreography for, all , more recently, just months before going into the military, end of last yr. and nobody new about it, all for around a couple of yrs. Only time we all heard anything is when ppl he worked with, like the famous producers in LA as well as in NY, posted photos or just comments praising Jimin, while working alongside of him, mentioning as well being so excited about the project they were working on. There were even times when backup dancers posted things that ppl found, saw, so word somewhat got out. But yet, when finally FACE album came out, even then not a one of those producers were involved with any of those songs in FACE. Now we all know that it was for Jimin’s second album MUSE, all those songs, that all those producers were excited about & referring to. But who would have thought that Jimin was already working on second album as well way back then in 2022. Jimin so impressively & amazingly crammed so much in, trying to get as much content out, all before he left for the military the end of last yr! Writing lyrics, composing melodies, producing many songs, but if not credited always still participating, also coming up with concepts ideas, for look of MV’s as well as overseeing the filming & directing as well! Jimin even created the choreography for his song “Who”. Jimin also is involved in design of album covers, and choosing concept & look during photoshoots! To work on creating all this music, all this content non stop for almost a couple yrs is beyond mind boggling to think about! also this is a true song from jimin. what i mean is that this is jimin looking for his true love in real life. us fans have known him for 11 years now they have documented stuff all the way from back then when bts first debuted. they are very honest with their fans almost to honest. and we know that jimin have not dated much not that he tells us that but because BTS work so hard there is litterally no free time to have a relationship. they all talked about feeling lonely and he said in his interwiew that he can´t even remember the last time he had a crush. so now that he is 28 it must feel like time is running out if he want to have a family and stuff. it´s really sad i hope they all find their special someone

This song isn't kpop, it's just pop. But he does have kpop/Korean songs (Like Crazy - his #1 hit, and Set Me Free Pt.2 - hip hop bop). The song is basically about a soulmate he knows exists somewhere and wants to find them. Jimin is known as the King of Kpop, Stage Master, the "It Boy", etc. He's a very talented (singer, dancer (best in kpop industry), songwriter, producer and a godly performer) and very versatile artist. Confident is an understatement. Jimin has a crazy charisma and very powerful aura, especially when you see him in reality, and he knows how to use it to get what he wants. I'm glad you liked his music. He's a superb artist, and so is his group - BTS! If you want more, you can listen to his two solo albums FACE (2023) and MUSE (2024), and then also BTS songs 😊 P.S.: interesting you mentioned MJ, since MJ, Usher, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, etc. are Jimin's big inspirations when it comes to music.
