Tricycles and pedicab riders in the Chinatown and Divisoria area are notorious for scamming passengers. Even if you ask "Magkano?" (How much?) They will say "P40" which seems overpriced but still reasonable. When you get to your destination, the will say "P40 each". So for a pedicab that would be P80 for two people for ticycles that would be P160. If you want to argue about it, their fellow pedicab drivers will gang up on you.
