I watched and decided to do a cost comparison , plus I'm bored as hell so bear with me! Hot glue and hot glue gun you'll need$15 window cleaner around 4 bucks axe$ 22 sandpaper $2.48 epoxy resin a and b component kit $23.39 is the cheapest I saw but can go up to over $100! Toothpaste is only $2 but we will let that one slide because most have that at home already... hopefully!!?? bag with enough candy in it to equal around 19 wrappers they used is a bag at Walgreens for $12.39 ( i chose starburst, ya know... for quality purposes) want to add that a roll of parchment paper is only $2.67 and would have got er done too, just saying! they have hammers for $5.97 at walmart (this is when I realized doing this research was worthwile, dang that's a good deal) squeegee $10 And now what you've all been waiting for....drumroll please..... 🥁 ba-rump-ba- bum bum 🥁 Your grand total is $95.23 ...and yep i made sure to look for the cheapest of each item Plus the time spent was over 48 hours. I won't even mention how expensive the gas to go get all this crazy s#!t is We could have gotten a lot more done in that time, super important things that make life better.... like fishing or golfing or shopping for better things, to use for fishing or golfing of course. Instead we were tortured , forced into watching paper dry. Priorities people , they matter lol So class, the moral of this here story is.....it's not worth it! And here's why i will tell you- because you stuck with me this long being the troopers you are and mostly because you are putting up with my corny jokes jeez, no one deserves that and yet you are still here it really hits me... right in my feels so now I have to make sure it better be a darn good point especially being just some bored chick in Ohio that actually took the time and did research for this particular video and i can't be just that, some lame-o who needs a quick cheap fix for a cracked windshield no, i wanna be your hero of this comment section , helping you on this trip we're on after all we are on this journey together, right? Right!!! Welp you get good news ....and even better there is no bad news I found out the cost to have a windshield repaired professionally is between $50 and $150 this means you could actually SAVE money doing that! even if the crack is up to 14 inches. now you have money saved to use for better and more important things .....wait..... are you thinking what im thinking? money you saved for fishing or golfing? Nice!! It took me a while to realize this is a job. All you need is alcohol and a paper towel to clean the crack. The only other thing you need is resin. They give you a little plastic strip in the repair kit, but I guess you could use something like saran wrap.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but be careful about false information on the interweb, i tried this and my hammer broke after just a few taps. Now my windshield is fixed but, i have to buy a new hammer. Fyi: instead use a 4-6 pound iron mallet. Your welcome.

All you realistically need to do is clean it and add resin to fill the gaps Make sure it's not UV as you won't be able to remove the excess, unless you want a big warp spot around the crack This is a shitty lifehack tho

LOL you can go to any auto parts store or Walmart and buy a windshield repair kit for $8. You clean the window, you apply the epoxy resin, you scrape clean and buff and done. This looks like a very tedious and overly complicated process when you can do it for $8 from Walmart
