On rear windshields that have those lines across it, those are heater elements that defrost the windshield. You should never wipe perpendicular against those lines. Wipe the window parallel to the direction the lines are going or else you’ll damage them.

@@TonyLightTravels Steamer works wonders. Use the steamer and heat up one of the Top corners. After a couple of seconds, check it and you should be able to peel a small portion of it. Once you're able to peel it, then take your time balancing between adding steam and peeling film. Then use the Epic Orange for residual glue and Boom you're done. Hope this helps.
@xr6lane Жыл бұрын
@@TonyLightTravels honestly let the steamer heat up, make sure the hose doesn’t sag or the steam won’t rise, start in one corner and let the steam do the work, the tint will sort of fold down over the hand piece and that’s ok, as the heat helps to loosen the glue underneath

I was taught to use citrus orange spray similar to simple green using this method. Im pretty sure simple green would work too. The longer you let it sit the better it will work. And it's important to get all the glue off afterwards however a razor will damage the defrost traces in the glass. We were shown to use plastic razor blades but they'll damage it too. The white scotch Brite pads are softer then the green ones and will remove the glue with some elbow grease. Rear windows are a Pane
