life in a bell tent off grid in Spain

So we began our project in September, 2024, living in the bell tent and caravan in South East Spain on my family land .
I have also lived off grid alone in a couple of other places in a more basic situation just to prove to myself I could do it and begin my journey of learning...
Regarding the wood burner stove, we need to make a hole in the fly sheet and put the appropriate fire proof patch in place and set it up... Not a big job just has not been on our list of priorities till now!
Re sensorial explanation for rain noise, following a brain hemorrhage I suffer quite severe sensorial overload so the rain literally felt like someone beating my ears! However, that is quite rare here so not a big problem.
So in general we are very happy with our choice: we were looking at caravans but they are very expensive in Spain and felt more limited space wise...

That looks great! Total luxury and space, especially when compared to my little humble decathlon tent. That said, it survived the mini tornado near Malaga and kept me dry. So I'm very thankful for the smaller things in life 🙏 And yes, the rain was VERY noisy!! Best wishes from the Costa del Sol Keep up the good work! ❤

Gosh I'm glad you were ok after that! You got it bad there too. Looks like next week some more rough weather. Hope you are in a safe spot. We are in a pretty secure spot and no rivers etc close by or barrancos but still... I shall post sporadic updates here 😃
