Let me translate the opening song even though the meaning may not be as perfect as the Ngada/Nagekeo regional version: (Ngada/Nagekeo) "Dhegha dhegha da molo mema, masa kita dia ota ola. Mali zale gho au Nabe e, mona sei e da peku wake". (english) "wander as far as possible, all of us in the world. If it's underground, no one can wake it up". (Bahasa Indonesia) "Mengembaralah sepasti mungkin, semua kita di dunia. Kalau sudah di bawah tanah, tidak akan ada yang bisa membangunkan." Thank you for introducing the land of Flores.

Thank you so much for this wonderful episode. This takes me back to 1989 (I was 13 then) when I first visited my late dad’s village, Ohe Kolontobo in Lembata, East Flores, right after we left Santa Barbara, CA for good. I can still remember all the wonderful memories I had visiting the place. So yes, this episode brought back much of those memories. Thank you! One thing exciting about Lembata that I think might interest you guys: there’s an annual event/ceremony (I think once a year, if I’m not mistaken) where the locals go on a whale hunt with their traditional wooden boats. Should you guys by any chance have the opportunity to visit Lembata one day in the future, you might consider making an episode about the event. As always, keep up the wonderful work you’re doing! I’m a big fan of you guys and can’t wait to watch new episodes on your channel! PS: Libur musim panas tahun depan saya sekeluarga berencana akan pulang liburan ke Indonesia, antara lain ke Bali. Siapa tahu kita bisa ketemuan di sana.😊 Salam hangat dari Münster, Jerman. 🤘🏽😎

I love how the way you interact with local people and live with them. you provide us the information about local culture and history. I really appreciate that. In my uncle family tradition, they sacrifice a young pig and give the blood to my hand, forehead, and sole to get blessing from God, our ancestor and give us defense from black magic or another accident. They also look at the hearts of the sacrificed pigs to see the condition of the sick family so that they know who made it or what the disease is. Guys, please don't skip the advert and support them!

From this video from the Lost Boys , now I know that Flores is pretty ! Thank you, guys, for your informative and interesting video. ! I am an Indonesian living in West Java. Unfortunately I have never been to Flores (but I went to Kupang several years ago). JavaYou are very smart to visit an "authentic" village in Flores, where the local people there are still respecting to customary law and religion. Hopefully the local governments (Pemda) will provide better infrastructure and facilities to all villages in Flores. If I am not mistaken, one of my former lecturers in Yogyakarta about 20 years ago, was a man from Ngada Flores... Thank you very much to the Lost Boys for sharing your wonderful video from Flores. You are very friendly and well - educated, I guess. Thank you with compliments to the lost , but happy, boys! Many thanks , guys, for visiting Indonesia . Please return to Indonesia in the near future...See you...

Until I watch your video, and realize that formal introductions are not always the same in every place on this earth. Years a go I found out that in some tribes in Indonesia, you will considered as unpolite if you don't burp after eat the meal that a family prepared for you.

especially the DNA of Flores people such as Manggarai and Ngada (Ngada) shows austroasiatic (Indochina) Austronesian (Taiwanese aborigine) and Melanesian while other Flores besides Manggarai and Ngada the majority of Flores and other East Nusa Tenggara people show Austronesian and Melanesian, so it's a bit about DNA or genetics people from Flores and NTT, I used to live in Manggarai.. if it's ende, Maumere is the most similar in culture and traditional clothes as well as physically, then Riung and Nagekeo are almost the same.. Bajawa and some ethnic Ngada may be even more different because physically the eyes are a lot slanted, ok I guess a little my explanation ,, salam from belu kupang for nice vidio
