I am a dutch citizen, who lived my life equally between Europe, Asia and the USA. I visited Pakistan in the early 1980ies. Amazing country,very hospitable people and stunning landscapes. I mostly loved Schwab and after especially the Hunza valley. I was one of the early visitors and the town was small and not touristic at that time. An overall wonderful experience in a magical setting.

Alexander the Great belonged to an Illyrian tribe and the descendants of the Illyrians are today's Albanians! Hunza has meaning in the language Albanian The nose, the nose distinguishes these residents from the locals!! the language these residents speak is called burrashka and it means the language of men in Albanian!!
