We visited our family friend and cooked together.
Our Filipino friends AFTERSHOCK BAND who are performing at Sitong Bar were also invited.
This was the first time we had a home social gathering after the lockdown has been lifted over here in Tianjin.
As expats living in a third country, we get homesick most especially because of the crazy situation that happened all around the world since January 2020.
Cooking with friends gives a sense of feeling like we are back home.
FOOD is more than just about survival. With it, we make friends, court lovers, and count blessings.
The sharing of food has always been a parr of the human history. "To make bread together" a phrase as old as the Bible, captures the power of a meal to forge relationships, bury anger, provoke laughter.
Food brings people together. That is why it is part of human nature as well to share because we like to feel we belong. When we share, we care.
