He’s 💯 right. My parents immigrated to the U.K. and my father returned home a broken man dying in his 50s. He told all his siblings not to come to the U.K. and they all outlived him by decades. A lot of times immigrants have land back home but the white man’s ice is colder. They were legal, the ones back home own land and businesses and still think ones in the U.K. are richer than them. They don’t understand that £35,000 in London means you are struggling.

My parents migrated to the UK from the Caribbean and yes the UK is not easy. Not only do we have to deal with the subtle racism but the systemic racism. My parents came eons ago and they struggled. Despite how educated they were they put into low paying jobs, poor housing etc. A bit better because the community has forged a way.

That's a point. Most Africans coming to Europe are mostly untrained and not "sufficiently educated". What do they expect? That employers and the government offer them anything on a platter just for existing? Most Europeans have to work their asses off themselves to get a proper job. It's not that easy in Europe to become truly successful as some might think. Then some Africans arrive with high hopes, only to learn that Europe isn't the land where milk and honey flow. They arrive with nothing, they don't speak the language, and the job they learned and their school qualifications they made in their home country won't get recognized. Instead you will land in asylum centers, where you are limited to a certain area and certain tasks you're allowed to do. I do get that many hopeful africans would see that as a nightmare. I get that. That's why you won't hear many success stories, only sober returnees who report their disappointment.

I don't know about Europe but people coming to America have no idea what they are in for. It's not easy here. The streets are not paved in gold. And can be dangerous if you're not careful. Don't come here if you think it will be a piece of cake.

If you can go back to your homeland and follow in the footsteps of Traore and be more proactive in changing your own government , like he did , for his country then your homeland would be a better place. I am just doing dishwasher jobs left everything back home cleaning all the toilets and dishwashing for minimum wage jobs 😢😢😢we have a lot of back home government jobs employees doing McDonald’s coffee shop jobs security jobs working warehouse 😢I was stand beside a police officer doing frying fries 🍟 also cutting vegetables I worked with full kitchen people back home professors teachers doctors 😢😢😢 we would sit and talk sometimes we have bank manger’s doing window cleaning 😢one thing we didn’t do is we didn’t come together back home 😢😢but doing some horrible job here it’s just bad it’s just a no just no jobs 😢 anyone coming in to foreign countries with government jobs just stay there just not even worth it at all when I walk in the street I seen back home mp driving taxi suddenly he turn his face other side😢 we all lost in real world I felt bad when someone does that 😢my dad told me there is a army working in a warehouse with him he went talk to him introduced him asked where you from how are you and all that suddenly he looked down back home there was war going on and the country went bankrupt they killed soo many innocent ppl 😢and everything now the army came to Canada working some shtty labour 😢
