Terry I am so jelly of your circle of friends always making sure you are eating the best food. I hope you'll have a taste of all the best Hong Kong has to offer. The colony has had to feed two very different culture for a century--talk about the OG fusion food! I hope you'll take something away from what evolved there!! :3 Speaking of dim sum I had the most unique dim sum honestly. I live in a tiny Canuck village in B.C. Interior (near the Pacific) and honestly we don't get a lot of eateries. I went into a little hotel and tried their food, they had a Chinese menu on the flip side, cus they are Chinese Canadian operated, and I was astounded they had a few dim sum listed, and most interestingly it seems like the fillings of the dumplings and such are local fishes and such. I don't think I have ever had fish dumpling lol. But it was hard and dry, I don't think they steamed it sufficiently. So it was a bit of a let down. But I was inspired, maybe I ought to do the same! Making Chinese food out of local ingredients :) Goodness, did you say 200HKD? isn't that like 40 USD???? That's some serious dim sum'n!! :3 I think 75% of that went to paying for interior design and rent by the look of the place kekekeke. OMGosh every dish looks so gud. How do you shop online in Hong Kong? When I was in Taiwan, they had about two sites, Rakutan and Yahoo! I think? PChome for tech? When I was in Shenzhen/Zhenzhou, CN, they ordered from places like Taobao and T-mall. (but this was honestly half a decade ago so I am not sure how things are now) How do folks in HK shop online? B/c if you can pick the brain of your fellow HK friends, mebbe you can upgrade to proper KN95/N95 masks. Here in Canada our medical authorities recommend we upgrade to these masks since there are no shortages like before. These are much more protective. You may have to try a few brands to get the fit you love most.
