I’m always amazed at how advanced Japan is with their waste and recycling (you showed us how you have to package all your waste), but how the grocery stores use soooo much plastic packaging.
@heratlas2 жыл бұрын
It’s CRAZY, right?!!!!!!
@nish2211002 жыл бұрын
Yep, it's crazy about how much packaging they use. But it is awesome how they recycle/reuse so much of it.

@susie22512 жыл бұрын
@@nish221100 unfortunately, although it’s collected as “recycling” very little of it is recycled as most of us think it is. Japan includes burning of the items in its definition of recycling.
@alohanei92412 жыл бұрын
I totally agree!! The whole purpose of recycling is so that you also use less. Why everything needs to be individually packaged and packaged again. I just came to japan and recycling system gives me anxiety.

Thank you for clarifying the overstimulation theory so well with regards to competition on Instagram. I feel the SAME way most days, it gives me anxiety but I can't stay away. It's the nature of the application, the algorithms, the purposefully catered content to make us feel unworthy. It's horrible.

My favorite Japanese food is tempura. It's so delicate and I don't necessarily feel unhealthy eating it even though it's deep fried. Also, when I went to Japan in 2019, one of my favorite types of restaurants to go to was a kushiyaki (grilled skewer) restaurant. I loved trying all the different types of skewers (my favorite was pork belly!).

Love this video! I agree with you about IG. It feels like tik tok now and I use it less lately. It's up to you but not sure if you have one yet, I recommend a point-and-shoot camera. it's easier and just buy film itself to install the film. I'm not sure how it works in Japan compared to the USA but it would save plastic instead of buying a disposable camera every time. Disposable cameras are getting hard to get nowadays and are out of stock. Most point-and-shoot cameras have the same effect as disposable cameras as well.
