The Tenament Museum is one of my favorite places to visit in NYC. Thank you for highlighting it, and for the work you did to help immigrants. You are a delight!

We definitely got the sanitized tour of the city during our stay. No complaints. But, next time, lower Manhattan here we come!

Yes, that was intentional, but now we know we can give you the full tour next time 😉😁

hello :) I saw your family and I was like oh they're nw people then I saw your past videos and saw you lived in Seattle I am in San Diego currently and am deciding on moving to either Seattle or NY, I have lived in Portland for many years so I pretty much know what to expect when moving to Seattle ish, what are your thoughts on the two cities and which would you suggest more ?

Hi there! Yeah you guessed right! I would say it depends on what you are looking for. Seattle and NY are very very different. I love both, but some things NYC has that in my personal experience Seattle doesn’t as much: 4 distinct seasons (including a lot more primarily sunny days), authenticity (I like to say New Yorkers are kind, not nice, whereas Seattleites are the opposite - broadly speaking of course), super fast pace and energy (you really do feel it!), tons of opportunities for work and play which depending on what you’re into can be more comprehensive than Seattle, easy access to other cities such as Boston and DC. Things Seattle has that you might miss in NYC: More temperate weather, “easier” in that you can drive everywhere pretty easily, more outdoorsy people and opportunities to be in nature, lower cost of living (although still high for sure), generally lower stimulus lifestyle. So yeah, long story short neither is “better”, it just depends on what you are looking for in a specific season. All the best with your move!
