Same in Canada. My grocery habits changed DRAMATICALLY. She said it. I also cannot shop with enjoyment in mind. The price will guide what I am gonna eat during the week. 100% of the time I only buy meat, cheese when they're on sale. I frantically look all over the store for discounted/close to expire items to have access to items I could indulge before without spending simply TOO MUCH. I am an avid flyer reader now. Also, there was a DEEP, DEEP cut on amounts as well. Stocking food? Not possible anymore.

People in the UK need to be more assertive when it comes to politics. Being passive and complaining won't change things. I feel lucky that it relaxed a bit in Germany, I mean rent, heating and electricity went up, but not as bad as in England, and it has remained stable for a year now, electricity even went down a little. For comparison, we pay 120€/month for gas/heating and 55€/month for electricity in a 3 bedroom flat with 3 people. It used to be 85€ and 35€ so the change is there, but it's manageable. In the UK it's simply madness

Groceries are cheaper in UK than US or Europe. Low interest rates were never going to last forever but prices today are not that bad historically.

I'm always staggered to learn what ppl are paying for their energy. Before 2022 my energy bills averaged out at £30 elec and £30 gas for 1 month. I've managed to keep gas down by cutting back, and my elec is about £42/month now. Food and tobacco are very expensive though, these days. I think it's been worse than the figures they're quoting in this video.
