It's really heartwarming to see westerners embracing Filipino culture. I'm ethnically 100% Filipina but born and raised in the U.S. My husband is a white American guy who does _not_ enjoy Filipino culture and would never be happy visiting the Philippines. He's too spoiled with first world luxuries, and he doesn't enjoy Filipino food or customs 😢 He's not racist or anything, he just has no desire to embed himself in a different culture, which is a shame. Of course, my Filipino parents find this hilarious and make things worse by purposely pushing Filipino things onto him against his will 😆
