Mate, don’t know if you’re gonna read this and if you’ll remember me. I’m the asian bloke that spoke to you just as we stepped out of the airplane in Sao Paulo. What you’ve done here is far beyond a doco on Jaçanã. You gave these people something they never get, recognition. Someone from the outside that sees them for who they are and not for where they live. I can guarantee this is one of the few times they met someone who just trusted them with a camera, spoke to them eye to eye, to the point the language barrier didn’t get in the way. Glad you didn’t cut short the soccer match, to them be seen by the world doing something they love meant the world. God bless you.

As a child growing up in England I loved football and I always loved Brasil. Roberto Carlos, Cafu, Dunga, Rivaldo, Emerson and of course R9 (the real Ronaldo) I was always intrigued by the Brazilian style of play and the stories I heard about them growing up in poor places spending their lives playing football in the streets. Watching this made me appreciate my life so much more and it made me wish I could go and help these people. I will try not to complain as much in future. You really opened my eyes with this video Spanian, I’d say it’s the best video you’ve ever done to date.

Amazing episode Spanian. Back in the day when I played Futsal indoor Soccer we had a Brazilian coach who we invited to come and coach our Victorian team from Brazil. I remember talking to him about life in Brazil and this episode reminded me of that chat. Just incredible to see these kids in Brazil the way they live and play soccer and become champions. I thing he told me that I never got out of my head was that the kids in some areas didn’t have soccer balls so each kid will bring a pair of socks and roll all the socks up into one ball. Broke my heart listening to my Brazilian coach with some of the stories he told me. Brought back memories thanks Spanian keep up the good work brother.

What a great episode, these people are all so happy and wonderful! After the serious part of the story I’ve sat here with a smile ear to ear, another excellent video span! I would love to know if there’s a way we can support the local football teams. The price of a basic feed here in Australia could change multiple people’s lives forever over there

Brah! Best episode ever! I know it's not much in the grand scheme of things but have you considered helping those kids out by donating or even championing something to build them a proper football pitch? "Spanian Stadium" certainly has a ring to ir!

This had me in tears several times. Happiness is in the small things it seems.
