Bro i've been watching your videos for 9 years now man, from your WoW content to your "Is it worth playing", to now your random MMO/RPG gameplay and small amount of thailand/muay thai videos that you have uploaded in your time and watching this really hit a soft spot for me. I was smiling ear to ear with tears in my eyes! I've been training for 7-8 years in mma/muay thai and recently just did 4 months in thailand and had my first pro thai fight. Being an avid gamer like yourself and coming from a "stereo type" group of people (also a hugeeeee anime fan) its amazing to see how doing this sport has helped not only with your other content on youtube but also your character as a person and IRL skill tree ;) Honestly i relate so much and im so happy others can find love and a passion and set goals in the same sport i love and use them to grow as a person from it and with the people you meet in it! I hope you continue to train and max out those close quarters combat stats and we get to see you have a few more fights ! Better yet hope to train with you one day in thailand as i will be there for an extended period again soon! All the best bro and keep it up YOU are truly inspiring for many!

You gave yourself a very good post fight analysis/reflection. I had noticed during the fight that you weren't using the teep, preferring instead for low roundhouses so it's good you recognized that. Additionally, for the art of 8 limbs, you weren't accessing all 8 weapons very often. Regardless, being able to recognize that in your own fight was very good so congrats. You are definitely right about wanting to get more comfortable in the clinch, however, you seem much more inclined and "built" towards striking which isn't a bad thing. I'm sure your coaches broke your fight down in way more detail anyways. And for what it's worth, at the amateur level, it isn't a bad thing deviating from the fight norm of "starting slow". Sometimes it can give you the edge if you can get the momentum going.

So I've watched this fight a couple times and I think your opponent is what we'd call a Tuk Tuk driver. It's great you're training and had your first bout but it sucks that the Thai's are really leaning into fight tourism and setting up these "Fights" for foreigners but they're really just dives to support the industry. It's not your fault but unfortunately this isn't what I'd call a competition. Keep training and if you're really interested in amateur competition be a bit more diligent with your coaches and ask for someone who isn't being paid to show up and lose.

From my (very) amateur perspective you did 2 things perfectly right: you realized he was open to low kicks and hammered them in relentlessly, wich drained the guy and made him afraid. Having you leg destroyed can really take the fight out of a beginner. He was so scared of your kicks by the end of round one, fully on the defensive. But you also paced yourself and took your time. Its easy to overextend when you smell blood and the lose the fight by gassing out. Well done 🎉

caught your vids randomly over the years, so imagine my surprise to see you pop up with an MT vlog! Started back up again myself 3 months back (after a 12 year break!) and set myself this exact goal; have a fight, and (hopefully) win. I'm in my 30's now, unfit as all hell, and carrying a few extra gallons around the gut, but its great, and inspiring, to see dedication over time getting someone the same goal i set for myself. Great fight too, TKO is a great result! I like to fake a lot, so was fun to watch someone using my sort of style as well!

Man, been watching you since you started your channel. I've been getting out of shape myself. I just made a huge move to a new country and now you have inspired me to improve my health. Thanks for the inspiration and keep up the good work.

Super dope to see! Haven’t seen your content pop up in my yt channels as I’ve switched over to more fitness content with RP, Jeff Nippard, Will Tennyson and such. Seeing Peon switch to fitness as a focus brings me great joy. I’ve been lifting and going to the gym 6days a week for 2 years and 4 months now, best change in my life thus far

Your progress in 3 years on and off is staggering, technique is on point and fairplay to you for fighting on a show. Sparring in itself takes some real guts!

Proud of you bro, I have always been trying to get people into martial arts, hope this inspires more people to actually give it a shot and start training.
