The amazing thing is that all the scales fit perfectly and create a nice pattern. If tried to do the same the snake would look like a Picasso painting with weird proportions and stuff.

Hi there, Mike, (^_^) I always enjoy it when you show us how you collect the wood for making your sticks. I never thought you had to worry about cracks in the wood, but I found that interesting. I really enjoyed this video -- there was a bit of everything interesting in it and I just love it when you feature Pearl. I hope you are well, my friend and getting ready to enjoy the winter. Mike, I just happened on to one of your videos on u-tube about a month ago and I instantly subscribed. Now your the first thing I look for when I pick up my phone. I painted wildlife and various subject matter since I was in high school. On a scale of 1 to 10 I am probably about a7 or 8. I strive for photo realistic with lots of detail. I recently retired so I'm going to try some of what you do. Thanks for the inspiration. Keep on carving and I'll keep on watching.

Pearl's leaping ability has greatly improved. She's will soon be out right qualified to be a model for Ermine Magazine, a squirrel enthusiast for Out Door Life Magazine, and a stunt double for The Love of Benji remake, and a voice actor for all those animal movies that has us wondering about who provides voice over for some of these movie dogs. I just found you today while I was looking for an inspiration of snake for my new native flute project :-) and I ended up standing stunned, you seem like an amazing human being and well gifted artist with delicate sense for nature :-) thank you for the opportunity of discovering you, I truly appreciate it :-) by the way - your way of making the scales is ingenious and very meditative, I like it!
