What he means is, even if you're winning trophies all the time, its not enough. Same thing with money, if you have lots of money, sure it solves some problems but also creates others. Essentially he's trying to say whilst winning is important, you need to be happy with competing and playing.

Lol imagine a time when Arsenal fans were calling for Wenger's head! They actually succeeded! Time has shown that with the resources Arsenal have Wenger was actually a genius who got the most out of what the club was capable of. They were always able to compete for Champions League (emphasis on 'compete' they were never capable of securing it every year) whilst winning domestic cups on a regular basis. Look at them now. Forget the invincibles, Wenger deserves to be knighted and have a statue outside The Emirates for what he did in his last few seasons.

Arsene Wenger gets disrespected by uneducated kids of the modern era who look at Man City and think that’s all it is. Every manager currently working in England takes after Wenger’s regiment and voluptuously fluid football. Wenger, Michels, and Cruyff were the godfathers of “tiki-taka”. Just because his trophy cabinet isn’t as full as SAF’s, Jose’s, or Pep’s, doesn’t take away from his legend.

I like to hear that from Pep. Alot of clubs if not most of them go decades without winning anything yet still have tens of thousands of fans turning up every game. The championship is a perfect example, i'd be over the moon to witness my club (Sheff Wednesday) simply getting into the prem within my lifetime even if we only last a year.
