Since its confirmed this takes place around December 2016, and Life is Strange 2 takes place around October 2016, Daniel was probably the one who saved Chris from falling. I do too but they need to add more game play elements to the next game. Right now if it was a TV show, it would give you pretty much the same experience as if you were playing the game. To be honest, it would probably even work better as a TV show because it's so story heavy and the choices in the chapters don't affect the ending. You can pretty much choose what ending you want which isn't really a good method of story telling because you're supposed to feel the outcome of your actions in the end, not just something you picked.

I know i'm super late watching this but i just realised a couple seconds b4 it says 2 be continued, Chris's neighbors are the 2 main characters in the 2nd Life is Strange! I never played The Amazing Adventures of Captain Spirit b4 so i didn't know until NOW! Thats a huge twist! It's amazing how the creators of Life is Strange put in so many teasers (Things that could or will happen in the next game), references 2 previous games and references to movies and shows into these games to make the people that play it say, "Hey! I remember that!" or "That happened in the last game!" and stuff like that. This is y the Life is Strange series is 1 of the best SQUARE ENIX© games ever made. They're so relatable and they make the people playing the game like the characters. The situations these character are going through are relatable 4 some people. The people that can relate, understand what they're going through because they've felt the way these characters feel. It's heartwarming and in hits me in the feels...It really does....🥺 Thank you SQUARE ENIX© for blessing us with the Life is Strange series. You've made my life and many others lives better. My theory is that the kid who was waving to Chris in the last scene is the one with the powers. He saw him fall and saved him from hitting the ground just in time. So I think Life is Strange 2 is gonna be all about this kid with the telekinetic powers and saving Chris will be part of the game which is why it says "Meet Chris again in LIS 2". The reason why I think this, is because there's no way the kid didn't see Chris hovering over the floor. Anyone else would have freaked out or given some kind of reaction at the sight of that. But he just casually waved hello. So yeah, that's what I think. I could be wrong. But this is what came to mind when watching that scene.
