Thats up to your interpretation! All we know is that when Rachel got into college, she started using more drugs and acted more unstable than in high school due to everything that happened in BTS. Thats how she got closer to frank and she was ready to ditch Chloe since she was taking so much time to leave arcadia, and with jefferson, she just liked jefferson and probably was groomed by him as well (Like nathan was)

@@ArtisticNebula Yea but i think the game was focused on Chloe, rachel was an extra. they need to make an "The Storm" chapter to play with the words that rachel can be seen as the storm, and how she dying caused the storm. It would be interesting to see her making mistakes and how she "manipulates" wind/fire to win discussions it would give her alot of character depth and explain her death. But for Chloe lore, Before The Storm was really good

@@percyforsyth I wish for extra-dlcs in different timelines. I want to know what happened to each character, and i want them to explain the plot-holes that were created in chapter 5 and what was originally intended to happen. It would be good for us and give closure to rachel. So if they do create BTS 2, or Extra-DLC under different perspectives (Like play as rachel, kate, nathan, victoria...) it would be the ideal. Like that nightmare scene.

03:50 I think it would have been something like an harsh motivational self back talk, with harsh i mean something like Chloe saying to herself to maybe control her emotions, behaviors, changing in some sort of toxic ways. Example: “come on Chloe, you’re ridiculous, you should have done this instead of that”. Honestly would have been another add to feel empathy for her or to understand her character even better, I don’t understand the need to cut certain things, if LIS lasted even more hours I think we would all have been even happier. Anyway this doesn’t cancel that they did an amazing job and one of the best video games (this and the whole saga) ever

Amazing video! I also just want to note that Rachels voice actress kylie brown in an interview noted that when Chloe is in the junkyard she looks in the mirror and the mirror shatters, however it got scrapped and never made it into the game unfortunately

Kylie brown (VA for Rachel amber) confirmed a cut scene that was supposed to take place in episode 3 during the junkyard, she said it during Bryan Dechart’s playthrough of LIS before the storm as she was invited to be a guest. Wouldnt backtalk-self be chloe doubting herself? like, we know chloe doesnt think about her actions and always so sure about what she is doing is good and fine. Backtaking self would her be convincing herself that she IS ALLOWED to be an selfish asshole to everyone around her except rachel etc etc

Top vid!! The mirror scene people mention here in the comments would've been linked to the self backtalk. What a great scene that would have been! I think they cut out a lot due to time constraints and pressures. I chatted with the Performance Director Webb Pickersgill (up on my channel 😁) and he mentioned how the scriptwriting team tried to avoid giving Chloe too much self-deprecating humour. I wonder if this scene would have been considered Chloe being too harsh on herself for their liking, giving them another reason to cut it

Great video. I only saw a The Sims video with Taylor and Chloe's voice lines a few years ago, but I didn't know there was so much more. And what I think is really great is that you even linked the videos with the songs and the cut voice lines. And the fact that Sera almost killed Rachel (accidentally) makes it all the more understandable why James wanted to keep her away from Rachel (even if he still went way too far) and Sera didn't want to see her daughter.

Thanks for the video! I was never the biggest fan of LIS:BTS (it created waaay to many plotholes for my taste; now, when I play with my brain turned off, it is somewhat enjoyable), so I have never delved into the cut content territory. I think I know more than an average player about the things removed/scrapped from the first game since I wanted to learn if the finished product is really what they had in mind since the beginning (especially episode 5 - I love the cosmic time-travel horror vibe that it has, but we can all admit that it’s a huge mess compared to previous episodes), but I know absolutely nothing about BTS’s cut content. There was a lot of surprising info there! I am especially curious about the selling drugs mechanic. I personally think they most likely cut it because it wouldn’t make sense to sell drugs to almost everyone on the campus. Plus, I don’t see BTS Frank splitting the money he earned with Chloe. Sure, they are definitely “close” for a dealer-client relationship in the game; definitely closer than in the first one, but not close enough to actually do that kind of deals. Anyway, thanks for the video once again, I cannot wait for the big cut content one!

Cool vid, where did you get your camera and how much was it? I used to own a Fujifilm Instax back when LiS came out and it broke at some point.. after double exposure got announced, I've been wanting to get back into instant cams

So mine is a one step flash Polaroid camera. It shoots polaroid 600 film. I got it on eBay a few years ago. Fuji film is waaaaay less maintenance than polaroid film (although it's gotten better)
