Here we go again... just when I get thinking my backlog is impossibly long and I don't need to buy any more games..., and then I see this review. The port looks brilliant! I'll be honest and say that I wasn't interested in the game, but the fact that the devs really poured their soul into the Switch version is really something to give credit where credit is due. I'm considering buying it now due to that alone. We need more devs like this.

SO glad to see that this was a solid effort port as I was hoping to pick it up on Switch over the other consoles. Definitely going to have to pick this up at some point when the physical comes out. I'm about halfway through the game and loving it! I actually might have played this all in one sitting if I hadn't started to get sleepy and quit rather than risk missing a single line of dialogue. The graphics are surprisingly solid, and the plot line is... amazing. Love all of the accessibility options too... not sure I've ever seen a game with more of those (including options to extend time for decision making, receive warnings before bright lights or loud audio, and much much more). Honestly, this is a game no one should miss. I'm in love.

The first LIS is one of my absolute favorites and I played it on PC. Now that I just game on my switch and haven't touched this yet I'm just so excited!!!

I’ve not seen this running on other consoles so my first impression when I saw this was ‘damn this looks good!’ Praise to the developer for reworking everything for switch instead of just porting. It must normally take up a lot of time and resources but look at the results! Let’s hope more games follow suit

I am a die hard LIS fan, and having played it immediately upon release on the PS4, I now have a reason to buy the switch version, too (like I needed a reason…). This could even be a push to buy an OLED, since holy crap it looks so good on handheld! Can’t wait for the LIS remasters coming next year!!

That was a great informative video. Game looks visually stunning to say the least! Mark, question, I have seen your split pad controllers on a few of your videos now and would like to know what make and model they are and where do I get some? I got some official Nintendo split pad pro's lately and there pretty good but clicking the left joystick to say make your character run sometimes takes more than 1 click to work and for the price I paid for them (£40) I expect more tbh. So please let me know. Love this channel and what you guys do.

You know what? Some people might say the graphics were downgraded but at least the devs actually took their time porting the game instead of simply throwing it in a server and making it a cloud version like some games coming out on the Switch.

This game has the title of being one of the first 2 console games to use FSR. Really hoping Nintnedo using it now with Nintnedo Switch Sports (and hopefully future first party releases on OG Switch), and likely DLSS on the next Swtich makes developers use FSR more often, especially when it seems a image is just using FSR with a relatively small multiplier away from locking 60fps or locking 4K.etc

I pre-ordered the physical release in October (not long after buying my Switch), saw footage on PS4 & thought I’d made a mistake in going for the Switch version but your in depth review has changed my mind, thanks for the brilliant review, just a shame those of us who like physical releases have to wait a couple of months. It shows that if developers take their time to make a decent port to the Switch the results can be remarkable, a benchmark indeed!

Really happy this has made it to the Switch and that it's a decent job of it too. The Life is Strange games are really not for everyone but I've found them to be a lovely alternative to standard fare. Am really hoping to see the Shenmue series on Switch at some point.

Great in-depth review! This game does look amazing based on everything you've shown. Is it necessary to have played the other games in the series to grasp some of the background or story, and are they connected in any way? Or is the story a Stand-alone entry in the series that simply takes place in the same "universe"? Thanks

Hopefully the same team will work on porting the remastered version of LiS 1. That was one of my most enjoyable playing experiences, and I'd love to play it all over again. As for this game, I think I'll wait for a sale, $60 is a bit steep, especially considering that I have over 30 games on my Switch that I'm yet to play.

Just for clarification, the PS5 and all other versions released just this year in September. Switch version was delayed 3 months to December. The intro made it sound like it released a year late. Original plan was for a simultaenous release, but looks like the Switch delay resulted in a strong product.
