Thank you, Jake, for a very interesting interview. It was about horses for the most part. Yet it was about how to handle life for us humans also. Part of the conversation reminded me of when I had the privilege of loving a wolf-Malamute mix. Nikita was so different from a mixed bred dog. How I worked with her was different than any other dog in my life. She was my silent protector, loyal companion. There wasn't a day I our relationship was the same. The most beautiful part of our relationship was the completely silent communication that worked so well between us. I believe the video I just finished watching speaks volumes for so many people. Though my experience was with a wolf/Malamute friend of mine. Thank you again for the fantastic interview today. It was a healthy reminder for me about how to handle life day to day.

Fantastic interview. I have Jim's first book and can highly recommend it. Also, having had the pleasure of Jim working with me with several of my horses- i can honestly say that I was the one who needed training more than my mustangs did 😉 and Jim did that with no nonsense and a big dose of compassion. He never made me feel stupid or belittled me. I became a better human for all those around me, not just my horses. Much thanks ❤

Wise words for all of us to live by. Jake, you are still showing us the values in how to see the best in others in a positive light. His was a very enlightening interview with your mentor! Love from Pennsylvania 💕🌷🐻

Hi jake, I will tell you I felt so connected to this video. A lot of what Jim talked about is my life. I wished this video would have been here a few years back, as My horsemanship would be so different. I used to believe I was quite the horse rider but my Mustang taught me differently. I learned a lot that day that I will never forget and it's a lot of what Jim talked about today with you. Thank you for sharing this. It was one of my favorite videos and I also was so extremely happy to hear there was so many good people, in today's world It's good to know there are still good people and I'm glad that they took good care of you & those beautiful mustangs.❤

I read Bill Dorrance's True Horsemanship Through Feel and immediately saw the connection with the Classical Baucher (2nd manner) tradition, which I train in (École de Légèreté) ... The Vacquero tradition has its roots in Classical horsemanship. It's fantastic to see how this / these methods work for the horse. Great inspirational vlog. Thank-you.

Is it just me, or did you put this up yesterday and then take it down? I was looking forward to the weekly Monday video and it vanished before I could watch it😂

No worries. I’m glad you made it home safe. I’ve been wondering if you’ll ever do a sort of show and tell for all your tack? Like brands you recommend and such. And it’d be awesome if you ever collaborated with other horsemen like Dry Creek Wrangler School or Trinity Vandenacre.
