Disconnect the house from groundblock before running scan at tap if you plan to run scans at demark. Saves you time. Small flathead will help with terminator or smash it and spin it off
@asperbergers71363 жыл бұрын
Smash and spin terminators seems to work best, I also agree with you by disconnecting drop at demark connected to the house in order to get better ingress scans.

Those trap tools suck... I carry a backup only for the fact they break too easy... Gilbert is the most decent brand ive found

Sucks you couldn’t put a terminator on that service box bc your tool broke! Mine broke too one time and my supervisor actually made one with a paper clip! Good little trick if you’re ever in that situation again

Didn't think we contracted trouble calls anymore really. I know in my area, they let go of a lot of contracted labor. Did they supply you the XM2? It took me 3 years to get one. You messed up with that terminator tool xD. I have never seen the use for the alternate side.

KSILightning they gave XM2 as soon as I got hired they supplied it

Does a contractor make more than an hourly paid cable tech? Most of my work ( intalls & service calls) were done commercially in restaurants,banks, supermarkets etc. Reason I ask is I got a job offer as independent contractor working for Spectrum. I mentioned to him that is mostly what I have done. He said commercial self contractors make even more, but that he would start me off as residential tech for now.

Can I get job in Canada network cabling technician job please let me know
@zeppelinshy2 жыл бұрын
Not saying the US is bad nor my country is perfect. But a life as a cable tech over there seems like a really easy job. Also the cabling methods make me want to cry and are so messy. Like no external termination boxes, underground from lead in to elephant foot, all connections just out in the elements like that, all over head on poles, etc.
