Hannah, right. Bizarre. 35 pax connecting thru CLT sounds unbelievable. You mentioned doing substitute teaching one of the off days. Do you teach in primary, middle, or high school? I admire good teachers. A true calling, able to help people learn. I went thru the FA application process, got an invite to the hiring event 6 February. about 400 people invited out of some huge number that applied. There until 21:45. And I got a CJO!! Actually my second d time to be offered one. Had lot of fun. Lotsa invitees simply could not believe that I was trying out for it. So, I did not tell them I had been offered one in September. As you probably know I am 82, but I thought it might be good for me to be around different pax on trips and maybe get into the FA family, which seems a nice group f people, which would cut down on amount of time have been alone since my hubby died last year. And I like people. No training date yet, snd I do hope I can survive training. Looked at t as having nothing to lose. Your friend, Herman

Hannah, I hope this comes out the right way. I enjoy that in your videos you mention your church, faith but aren't all sort of up in everyone's face about it. It reminds me of my daughters (all in their 20's) for whom that's very important but also not the be all, end all of every event, etc. Anyway, I hope I've articulated appropriately where I'm coming from on that and I look forward to seeing your future adventures here.

I love the Airbus aircraft. I can see why it is spacious even in the galley. I actually just booked my trip for my vacation in May and I think I'm flying on a 321 instead of the 320 or 319 this time for one of my flights so I'm super excited to fly on it. Substitute teaching is the best. My mom is actually a substitute teacher also. She actually used to be a full time teacher before I was born and she loved it and then went to subbing. She loves doing the Elementary age. 1st-3rd grade is her favorite grades to teach. What grade is your favorite to teach?
@hannahsims37999 ай бұрын

@hannahsims37999 ай бұрын
That’s a great question. If I’m remembering correctly the 320 and 319 are similar size to the 321 for the back galley. The forward is a little bit smaller, lots of counter space for service

Hi Hannah, just curious. Do you remember who was the oldest person in your training class? What age they were? Does age determine seniority within a training class at your airline?
@hannahsims37999 ай бұрын
Yes, seniority in training is based on age. The only people senior to the oldest person in the class would be those who we already employed by the airline prior to making the switch to flight attendant. The oldest in my class was 56. I was 24 in training and was middle of the pack.

So as a former optician, I'm now retired, I can't help but notice that you do have contact lenses which your wearing in this video. But you tend to wear your glasses pretty much all the time. Personally I think you look really nice wearing glasses. And apparently you prefer yourself wearing glasses rather than contacts also? Now many years ago I dated a flight attendant. I actually met her when I fitted her with glasses. She got glasses and I got a date and girlfriend. She often wore her glasses because she wore glasses when flying due to the air conditioning drying out her contacts. So because of that she was wearing glasses much more often even when she wasn't flying anywhere. So is that in part why you pretty much only wear glasses now?
