The wire mesh to keep them from falling in the water and drowning is good. I've seen some die that way and it sucks.

I think gray ones are African geese, White are Embden geese.

@@kevinvu9802 Africans are either pure white with a prominent knob on their bill, or they are a greyed/brown in stripes with a striking black knobby bill. I think these are Pilgrim geese. They have a sexual dimorphism where the males are a different color from the females. So all the geese are the same breed, but they look different.

@@goldengryphon Nope, white is likely a Pilgrim gander, grey with yellow beak Pilgrim goose. Bigger greyish with black beak are either African Buff or Chinese Brown. Too young to tell which, as adult Africans have a dewlap, Chinese do not. Both breeds have the knobby prominence however, just more so in ganders.

@@alliechampagne1404 I am not that familiar with Pilgrim geese. Thank you for clearing that mis-identification up. I am, however, very familiar with African Geese. There's more than a dewlap of difference between Chinese and African. Chinese are considered a light or medium weight breed. They have a smaller body size and are, in general, much smaller than an African and have less of a knob on the bill. Africans are a heavy weight breed. Yes, the dewlap for Africans is a very firm identification, but not all Africans develop that quickly. African Buff (and their Chinese compatriots) are a lovely pale tan, with no greyed out plumage - a very pretty cream and tan overall. Standard Chinese and African "Grey" are a taupe (greyed brown) and white. Those look like Chinese Grey/Browns. They are similar to the Pilgrim in body size, and the Chinese belong to the same weight class. I'm just guessing based on the images and presumed development.
