Um buddy, I am currently an SDE2 in India. My basic salary is 60Lpa + i.e. around £60k+ per year. And this is in India. You are living in oblivion if you feel people are not making at the high end. At SDE2 level, you can easily expect £120k-£130k if you are going for a FAANG level company in London.

These Brits don't even respect the doctors. They treat them like laborer so forget about the engineers. Also the cost of living is very high there.

I have my own friend working in Meta in UK, he has an amazing life there.. Dude there isn't some magic. Give GRE and TOEFLs and whatever your preferred University requires. Keep your GPA high and look out for scholarships. You also need to save up money to travel there and pay fees and expenses. They ask you your account details. Please keep your cgpa up!! Make projects, go out of yoru way to get research internships.
