What do you mean?. They left by choice because they believed that they would be harmed...which is not the case. Minorities are protected. Take for example, when ISKP attacked the Sikhs, IEA security forces defended them and IEA security forces died in this attack. It was under the US imposed govt, where the Sikhs properties were stolen in Kabul. It has been just 5 decades since that country became sovereign. What happened there? Among Hindus there is neither a desire to preserve their religion by reforms and strong laws to prevent people leaving the religion and stop conversions. Neither is there any desire to aggressively win converts like Islam/Christianity. Partition of India was done to protect Muslims from Hindu dominance and now there are more Muslims in India than in Pakistan. How is this honouring the sacrifice of our ancestors? Afghanistan was deeply hindu before the invasions started. It was called gandhar in its entirety. It also has mahabharat ties. The pathans and pashtuns all were Hindus and Buddhists before Islam came to the subcontinent. 500 years ago and during the time of maharaj Ranjith Singh Sikhi also became a part of the Afghan populace. Its devastating to see Hindus and Sikhs reduced to 1 or 2 in Afghanistan.

Our religious books don't mention other religions because almost no other religions existed at that time. As far as 'Hindu Rastra' is concerned, that is an ideology created by Hindus, not Hinduism.
