Thanks Bobby. If we’ve learnt from these past 10-11 months since we left the US, life is a gift, life is short, life is about accumulating memories vs. things. This was the BEST decision we made. Thanks for being a subscriber to our channel. Please share it with your friends and family as well. Warm regards my friend.

Brazil is a huge and diverse country and when we were traveling around in our van for 6 months, we saw many many many nice opportunities for someone like yourself to find something similar to what you see in this vlog. However, we suggest you not rush to buy anything. Experience the country and chosen region for a year or two and then decide if you're ready to put down permanent roots. Good luck !!!

How did they get a permanent residence? How did they buy farmland? These are all questions I want to know
@pepielci

Actually this vlog was filmed at the sitio (farm) that is owned by Elci's daughter and her husband. They're both Brazilians who have previously lived in Europe and in the USA. For them, buying land and living this lifestyle was easy !!!

I'm currently looking to move my family to Brazil for all the exact reasons you stated in this Video. How would I go about looking for property like this? I would like to own a slice of forest to preserve since there is so much deforestation. I looked up Espirito Santo like you mentioned in another comment but I haven't had any luck finding this type of property. You mentioned in the video a word that meant farm in portuguese. Couldn't figure out how to spell that word could you write it here lol. Was this land purchase then built a house or did the house come with the land?

Kenneth. As a former real estate broker in the US for 35 years I’d suggest you come to Brazil and rent for a while BEFORE committing to buying any property here. The name is SITIO (farmette) and there are many for sale at any given time. Once you focus on an area, approach the top realtors or property attorneys to guide you. This property was purchased by Elci’s daughters family when they left France to live off grid in Brazil. The main house was already there but since buying it they’ve been adding on to it, adding amenities and other buildings.

Sitio Kadosh, I immediately recognized as coming from Portuguese & Hebrew. If those dogs ever make it to Michoacán, Mexico, they would go mad with joy. This is the point of origin for the avocado. I am planning to fix myself a nice bowl of Guacamole in their honor.
