Great discussion. I'm a retired anesthesiologist and I finally became comfortable doing my job when I realized I was playing the role of a doctor. I had my costume; badge, scrubs, and stethoscope. The set or stage was the pre-op, OR, and PACU. The supporting cast are nurses and surgeons, and guest stars are called patients who play themselves. I used a script with patients and their families and injected humor when I could. Take some acting classes and continue your stand-up and podcasts. If it happens it happens. Don't quit your day job. My step-sister was an actress. She started with commercials and then off to NYC for a soap opera role. Then the show changed producers and everyone lost their jobs. So she married a rich Jewish guy. Her daughter wants to be an ophthalmologist.

I thought for sure Peter Jacobson would already be familiar with Dr. Glaucomflecken's acting work. Otherwise how did you land him as a podcast guest?

You get invited by peer review, it’s like a Nobel nomination 😁

Another medical show I highly recommend is The Knick. If you like historical fiction + medical drama it's worth watching. I've been waiting to see This is Going to Hurt until after I'm with med school and have read the book. But I hear it's pretty great. I know House MD is bonkers and just...wrong. But I don't care. I still love it. Thanks for the podcast and skits. Great job as always. Keep reading. 3/5

That was really fun to watch and listen to and so unexpected. Also where does one get a box full of mites? XDDDD
