Any serious monohull sailor would have a splicing set on board I would think, you can borrow? We're a bit fare away otherwise..

We found someone on another cat who had one but he couldn’t splice the line either (too old), so we bought a new line and he spliced it with his tools. Gotta love the cruising community!

We have more pet names for the boat and our dinghy than we do each other! Saba-doooo, Sabadoodle, Tinks/tink-a-roo… 😂
