My dad, the Forest Ranger, had a 3/4 ton Ford pickup with limited slip diff and a 500 pound, horse rack on the back. We lived in Moab, 1948 to 1955. He had to deal with ranchers, miners, timbermen, campers, hunters and recreation people on a daily basis. He often had to respond to distress calls from people with four wheel drive. He rarely, never made it home for dinner. There is nothing better on rock than rubber tires but, for soft materials, you better have tracks. Iguana

Poor Johnny. You could just sense it in his voice, he was like 1 second away from having a full blown panic attack. Glad you were there to help him through it. When you have a really bad day and really bad things begin to happen, everything about everything begins taking on a different vibe. So easy to have a meltdown. Mine was over being stuck in the sand going up the hill on elephant hill on obstacle that was super easy. It is hot... and things dont go your way... and you are out there all lonesome and while i know you are not supposed to wheel alone but you know.... we all do it... under stress things happen. Mike to the rescue.

I love Taylor (I think that was her name) gets handed the camera out of the blue, and proceeds to do a stand out job. I can think of a few major channels that could learn a thing or two from the way she filmed this recovery. She had good angles and covered the action, but by far the most important thing is 'she was smooth'. None of the hose-piping we see so much of on Cleetus McFarland's channel. Top job Tylor. When are you starting your own channel?
@MrBillsfishin Жыл бұрын
First time watching this channel. I guess it is Mike nice rescue. Definitely knows what he is doing and super nice truck. The other Gentlemen needs to greatly improve his offroading skills and take another skilled offroader in another vehicle with him before he ever tries a trail like this again. You could tell he was terrified of the situation he got himself in and that it was his lack of ability that put him in that position. With no roll cage that tumble would have turned out bad for you both. Especially without anyone knowing you two were out there. Be safe out there.

Not everybody can be an ace driver, so the moral of this story is that if you are not that great at least listen to the advice of those who are good drivers. Carefully do what they say, instead of doing what you feel is right, because that is what got you into trouble in the first place.
