I was 11 yr old back then. Nice looking back on the shankill road. Remember all the shops and all the wee streets off the road. Have great memories. I recognise few women walking down. Sad the troubles were bad then.

Shankill was such a busy vibrant district back then. Today its just a hollowed out crime riddled husk.

I myself noticed the exact same thing. A living, vibrant area thronged with working class people going about their lives. Today a hollowed out empty shell with relics of respect for a long discarded empire.
