People will abhor the treatment animals get, but remember, there are 8 billion people on earth that have to eat 3 times a day. I'd hate to tell you how hard it was to run a 30 cow dairy, 45 years ago. Now, the dairy up the street milks 2000 cows a day, 3 times. Computers and amazing equipment and machinery is a must. Now that I am 95, I'm grateful I have seen the full advance of farm technology. It is an experience few people will now have.
@benediktmorak44093 ай бұрын
but of that 8 billions of people how many dont eat beef( most of india...) and bigger is for sure not always better. what is the lifespan of a milk cow now, compared to 10 or 20 years ago? Though one thing is wrong for sure. When milk is cheaper than water. In some countries at least. One begins to wonder,should a dairy invest in a water bottling plant instead of a milk bottling plant?
@NullaNulla3 ай бұрын
I still miss and prefer the old 10-50 cow dairy's! Where we could show up with a clean 3L milk jug and get skimmed out of the vat for $1/L!!! Was twice what the milk mobs gave per litre so helped support the locals and we got REAL milk.
@edwardgabriel52813 ай бұрын
@@NullaNulla I left bookkeeping in 1977 and bought a 30 cow dairy. I milked with bucket milkers. It was a life changing experience, never made money at it, but it gave me a real wonderful connection to our earth. Raw milk from our jerseys was out of this world. I'm 96, now, and would do it over again, notwithstanding the hard work.

I saw this with goodie duck clam fishing The first nations divers went in front of people waterfront property, and dive harvested the big clams. When the first Nations fisherman took the clams to the airport to ship overseas, Customs put the whole shipment in Q.T. as anyone knows clams don't last well in this condition. The whole shipment was lost because of Customs, I think of what a waist. And the first nation's fisherman kept diving on the same grounds. Some of the clams they dove for were harvesting at a sewer treatment plant out fall.

This video seems to be a desperate response to do damage control. We all know the Death Ship carrying 19000 cows from Brazil to Iraq started in Australia. The ship was in the Cape Town harbour for 2 days and the smell of death, faeces and urine stank out the whole city. The SPCA went on board to find cows knee deep in their own shit, some had died and some had to be euthanized as they were so sick. These animals had been at sea for 2 weeks and had another 2 weeks before reaching Iraq. The video never addresses the issue of waste management, disease, trauma, death, heat stroke and the cruelty these animals endure on these ships. Would you like to be penned in for a month at sea swimming in your own faeces? Is that how you would like your meat delivered to you? People are so incredibly unaware and insensitive to the suffering of animals. I didn't see any mention of this in the Middle Eastern press. They keep their people dumb and Australia and Europe drive the trade.

Everyone keeps saying it’s cruel to ship live cattle. How do you get a box of frozen meat to have a calf. You can feed yourself for a long time with live cattle once you eat a box of frozen meats you’re out of food. Those cows are healthy have lots to eat they are just fine. When they cram humans in an airplane we don’t get good food like that.
