As a former paramedic I can tell ya Always carry a kit and giving 4 - 81 mg chewable ASA -aspirin is life saver in a infarction 👊🏻

As far as those tec locks, they are certainly better than molle. However, rip away bags are the bomb. The main connection is molle to a massive velcro patch, and the kit is attached via the velcro. It's solid velcro and the molle side usually comes with a buckle so even you bump into something really hard, the buckle keeps the kit on the molle. So for release, you just undo the buckle, grab the big handle, and rip it right off. Very handy and no fidgeting with clips while your hands are shaking. Also not hard to do if you only have dexterity in one hand

Always keep tourniquet 2 inches above or below joints and if patient is awake they can be shown how to hold pressure on the pressure point to injured extremity to temporarily stop blood flow as you apply bandage or tourniquet

Really appreciate both comments! Very useful and good to hear from a pro. I was purposely brief with the tourniquet section with the hopes folks will go take a couple hour class to solidify the points you make and the other small things important to their application. Thanks again for the additional info. - Cliff

I'm in pest control and encounter stings all the time. One thing I was given once by a nurse along with my benadryl was a pepcid heart burn pill. So two benadryl and a pepcid. The reason behind this is they are both strong antihistamines but they work through different means. So you will not be taking to much benadryl but getting a stronger dose in a safe way. As soon as I get nailed I take these no matter what. I don't have bed reactions to my stings but as time goes on each sting gets worse and worse.
