Alcohol brings on hot flashes. I learned that halfway through my menopause journey. What helps with hot flashes is ginger tea. 1 teaspoon of freshly grated ginger steeped in a cup of hot water adding honey is optional.

What helped me was that wrap around waist trainer I wore everyday for 4-6 hours a day for a few weeks combined with hot caffeine cream. It redefined my waistline. Shyt works ! Once I felt like I was getting my waistline back in line it gave me the push I needed to keep going.

Girl, I am convinced at 59 years of age that Menopause comes and goes in stages. I had a hysterectomy at 39 and started Menopause about 48. I have gone in and out of hot flashes, night sweats, and now joint pain in which I believe is contributing to Menopause.

I was just getting ready to say there’s an old proverb “No house is big enough for two women” or smthg like that. There are no absolutes so I don’t believe this to be completely true but from experience understand it. It comes down to respect, not tolerance but genuine respect. Communication isn’t enough, comprehension and compassion are necessary. It take real work but it’s worth it. We work for everything else we want, why not with and for our loved ones ❤

Menopause I can say has been good to me...meaning a hot flash here and there, but not often. I have no other symptoms. I'm a athlete and I drink alcohol occasionally and plenty of water.

Hey love thank you so much. Girl this hair of mine was a journey. Yes, I run Mizane through it for like 2 mins. I’m a mixed chic - my Dad is East Indian and My Mom is Black and my dad’s Mom was Latina. I had to learn to love this hair of mine without being frustrated with it never staying straight so dropping in a little butter blend allows me to mold it, wrap it with strips and dry it with a hand blow dryer with a diffuser and go. Once I get back to a bob, I won’t need to do it anymore because the longer my hair gets the weight of it keeps it straight enough.

Adult children need support like everyone 0-100. She’ll be much much different and more of a true “adult” or whatever that means in 5 years. 25 when the frontal lobe is hardened traditional parenting authority should switch over to more guidance and reinforcement. Our roles as a guide is just important as their position as teachers, children reflect back to us much of ourselves. We can get arrogant the more we increase in age but we all need a soft place to land. I pray you and your daughter seek to understand each other more as you both learn to understand yourselves better through life’s transitions. ❤

Hello there I’m 53 and hv a 21 soon to be 22yr old and what I learned whn she moved out last year after graduating frm college a year early was I had to step wayyyyyy back and let her be her because we so want the best for them and at the same time we want them to not experience things we did but guess wht Thts how we learned…So I feel your pain but whn I stepped back it was the best thing for us … Although I would love to see her more it makes me proud that she’s doing her thing….. I hv to call her and say please check on your mother lol😂 but tht was something I said to her as a little girl playing outside…

Hi Love, I love everything about your message. What you’re saying is soo true. I’ve stepped back in comparison to what I used to do and just manage my day. When she doesn’t hear from me she is like ummm Mom don’t you love me ? And is always checking for my whereabouts. When I used to check in with her she used to act like I was annoying her so I stopped and giving all that attention to myself. I’ve told her that she is in my world not the opposite and the truth is talk is cheap and we gotta just show them. Her transitioning back to college will help a lot because I gotta a life to live and she is in my way 😂

Didn't know any other way to contact you. Please try another doctor . Those night sweats can be something else. Don't mean to scare you but that could be a sign of cancer. I had night sweats like you are describing. It took another doctor to tell me it was cancer . I was almost stage 4. The doctor needs to do a petscan to see what is wrong. You only go through menapause once. Please get check for cancer.

Hey friend not your daughter bossing you around. Haha listen my grown son leaves me alone sometimes but my daughter she’s 7 and she thinks she’s the boss of me now! I’m going through perimenopause so I understand 😩😩 I can also relate that I’ve changed as a mom. I was a very young girl mom the first time and then an older mom the second time. Omg I would hook your hair up, that’s way too much time for doing nothing. I just didn’t see the point. Your haircut is so feminine and it should be bumped a little just soft bumps all the way around nice and neat. I just don’t see what he’s trying to achieve in all of that. Real easy just like that. A good stylist work always stands out. Your hairstyle is simple but it should’ve been laid to the gods.
