As a 41 year old truck driver who spends months at a time alone, I learned a long time ago that you can either be your best friend or your worst enemy. Don’t let the things around you pull you down. Keep that joy inside of you and learn to exist in your own bubble. Remember when you are alone no one can hurt you. If you are an introvert, embrace it. Don’t let society or social media dictate to you how you should live your life or what happiness and fulfillment is. Live by your own standards and no one else’s. Then and only then will you start to experience the happiness that comes with true freedom. Stay positive and take it day to day my friend and I remember even when you feel alone, your not alone because their are A TON of people just like you.

Great comment. I think a lot of left out kids and young boys go through this growing up. You have to stop letting the world, social media and any one other thing people say than yourself that you are a worthy human being, your style is dope and cool and everything else about what others may think or you think they think of you.
@exoticrpgs505011 ай бұрын
This is something I learned from a long time ago. I was a “nice guy” my whole life because they say to treat others how you want to be treated. But then over time, I learned that most people are only in it for themselves and will take advantage of you for their benefit. I didn’t become less “nice”, but I stopped taking shit from people and letting people take advantage of me. When you learn to do that, people will naturally respect you more and know better than to step all over you. This is the advice I would give to young men like you who are struggling with this. Assert yourself or you will be used.
@itsmesteve108111 ай бұрын
Bro, it's not about asserting yourself. It's just about being a good human being. The reason nobody likes nice guys is because they always do something for other people just to get something back from them down the line. If you're ACTUALLY a nice guy nobody would have a problem with you. And trust me I have seen both. There are nice people who manipulate other people for their own gain and then when things don't turn out as they expected they get angry and frustrated. And I have also seen benevolent people. The people who would give you a dollar even if they only had two dollars. They stand up for the ones being picked on even if they can't even protect themselves. Those type of nice people are never alone because people want to support his cause. You'll get angry with me. You might even rage. But I am speaking the truth
@miraclesage862211 ай бұрын
Being nice doesn't get others to care about you sadly, it just gets them to take advantage of you. For people to care about you you need to first meet the right people, people who want genuine connections and have empathy, and second you need to build a close bond with those people. Having mutual interests or a shared outlook on life can help bring people together, but like I said it's not that easy. Some people just don't have it in them to truly care about others even if they act like they do, and it can be really challenging to find people who are more than just talk.
@ErickMcNerney11 ай бұрын
Same lesson learned here. And it's not about being less nice, like you said. It's almost enabling to reward people who take advantage of us. So it's actually not nice to them to continue to give when they don't appreciate it or give in return. Not that we should always expect something in return. They will just continue to use us, because it gets comfortable for them. I think also just being solid with yourself, where you know that it doesn't matter what other people do, if you're happy with what you're doing, that's all that matters. Not to be so dependent on how others treat us or look at us. It's a tough one. Takes time to truly live it, even if we know it's the better way to live.

This got recommended to me and I felt compelled to watch it and I wanna say that you seem like a deep thinker, a good person and sensitive to the world around you, which is such a good thing! And you are NOT ugly. There are so many out there who feel and think the way you do. Stay true to yourself and never let negative people turn you bitter. That's what they want. Don't let them win. Life is so much more than just school, work, die. Forget all that bs and just live how you want. Life is way too short to be concerned with what society expects from you. Us introverts think too much. Take a break sometimes, take it easy, look after yourself, don't stress so much. And fuck living for everyone else. Live for yourself. You weren't born to live for them. It's not a bad thing to put YOUR happiness and sanity FIRST.

Listening to your story, it's like we lived the same exact life. For the first 18 years of my life, by best friend was my cat. Everyone hated me in school. And my dad beat me every week. And when he wasn't beating me, he'd tell me how I ruined his life, that I'm useless, constantly that he'll kill me, and every time he looked at me, there was so much hatred on his face towards me. My mom told me "when you turn 18, you leave and never come back". Every night, I look up at the stars and wonder "when will this suffer end?". "This is my life?" "Why is this happening to me?". I had no esteem because I got beat at home and was alone in school. Teachers didn't like me. It was just so lonely. It's a pain so deep and endless, I thought no one could possibly ever feel this pain. I'm also chinese, the only one in my grade. There were chinese that were grades above me or grades below but not in my grade. In school, I was the quiet kid that sat there hoping so desperately that someone would come talk to me and be my friend. That never happened. And without being in any friend group, everyone else used me as the punching bag or at worst, I see on their face the expression of disgust whenever they saw me. One guy even blatantly says my face is "flat and ugly", "that I smell bad". There was field trips where the teacher passed out sheets to write down who students would like to be with and who not to be with. And out of my peripheral vision, I could see my name on their paper for "who not to be with". Imagine the loneliness. I'm feeling the "sinking tingles" of loneliness as I'm writing this out. And like you, I cared about everyone and I cared so much. This was 12 - 20 years ago now. I'm 30yrs old now. But college happened, and it changed my life. I got my first best friend in 1st year of college: Kevin, and 12 years later, we're still best friends. And then as I lived more, more and more best friends came into my life. And then 12 years years later, I realized I have multiple best friends. That I no longer need to define what a best friend means. I would die for any of them. In middle school, I got beat up by these guys. And the others say I would never be good enough for a girlfriend. And unfortunately, the constant bombarding trauma of that era still affects me as a 30 year old today. I've never had a GF. And it's my fault. It's not like a girl hasn't liked me, but the moment I start liking them too, a switch flips within my "soul" and such an ancient overwhelming self loathing activates and I end up backing out immediately before the relationship even begins. I'm still trying to overcome this. My subconscious still thinks I'm unworthy. I went to medical school partially to propitiate the piece of my soul which bears that weakness. And years and years off feeling useless, I built an interior that resists all the weariness of this world. I can turn emotions on and off. I've mastered self control. Right now, I'm a 30 year old in medical school. I had a dream as a lonely beaten child in middle school. Looking up at the night sky, and the infinite potential of the universe, I realized....if I just lived long enough, I could outlive all my bullies. I could outlast all my problems. I could eventually one day find peace. And so I decided I wanted to cure aging and extend my lifespan to out live all problems and that some solution would appear someday if I just lived long enough. Those long nights of wondering about the future.....time flows slowly for a middle and high schooler. And the suffering and loneliness felt infinite. It took the thought of infinite lifespan to allow me to overcome that. Now as a 30 year, I have already spent over 20 years of my life trying to research and extend lifespan. 7 years in biotech. And I'm almost done with medical school. I will be a doctor. And I will research aging and take care of patients. And along the way on this journey I've invented for myself, I've made the bestest of friends who I see as family and I would die for. I'm finally no longer lonely even though many of us are now countries apart, it almost feels like the world is my friend now. So my advice from a fellow lonely and hopeless child, is to create a singular purpose for yourself based on the motivating aspects of loneliness. As einstein said to paraphrase, "be a loner, that gives you time to wonder and search for the truth". An then live that purpose. Follow strength of your conviction of your purpose which sprouted from loneliness and you'll make irreplaceable friends along the way.

Find out What the "Immortal jellyfish" does. Something is keeping the cells mitochondria cleared of waste so it can continue to produce electron energy for the ATP to transfer the electrons to the nucleus to maintain the DNA chains Electromagnetic bonds that hold the base pairs together without loosing the telomerase caps off the end. When a cell divides, it looses a cap every time. that's because the over all voltage or amperage drops and the chain can not hold on to that many caps anymore. Eventually, when enough caps are lost, the cell stops dividing and dies.

Bro, I did not listen to your rant, but life in this temporal domain is difficult. What I find helps me is to (1) thank The Creator for everything. I even thank Him for my coffee, for the honey to put into my coffee, for my food, for my health, etc. Gratefulness provides a positive way of looking at the world and one's situation and is more healthy than focusing upon what we want but do not have, etc. We each have more things to be grateful for than we can enumerate. (2) I study and try to live out the admonitions of The Bible. The entire Bible can be summarized as teaching us how to love others and we love ourselves (Matthew 7:12). (3) I try to exercise often (almost everyday). (4) I try to eat healthy. (5) I do ministry work to help others when I am able. (6) I go kiteboarding when I am able. As somebody who moved to Japan, I can tell you that the other side is absolutely brutal as well. I love Japan, but you would be hard pressed to go more than 2 minutes without having somebody point out something that's wrong with you, or some social standard you're not living up to. It can be March 31st and 70 degrees outside, but if you're not wearing winter clothes and a jacket you'll have every single person you meet ask you "Aren't you cold!?. What's wrong with you?" THIS GUY ISN'T SOCIALLY NORMAL! And then it could be literally 40 degrees the next day, but now it's April and 98% of the country decides that it's time for spring clothes. "Aren't you hot!?!" Seems like a petty complaint, but anyone who's lived here knows what I mean haha. The drone mentality and toxic collectivism can turn every interaction into some kind of mini job interview, where the prize is that you aren't publicly ridiculed, shamed, or more often ignored. And again, I love Japan for a lot of different reasons, but the way people treat strangers here, at least in the big cities, is literally like they're looking through you. You often see people crying or hurt at train stations, and literally thousands of people just walking by them. "Just don't make eye contact. Don't make eye contact. They have no relation to me. If I don't make eye contact the problem goes away." There is a sense of community in Japan, but it tends to be rooted in this desire for everybody to live up to a social standard, and definitely not in sharing snacks or juice boxes like this guy said haha. Sometimes this can be a good thing. But I miss the genuinely kind people who take action in the US at times. It's rare, but almost unheard of here. Once you break through the shell, Japanese people are uncharacteristically kind. But I can't imagine a more lonely place to float through life without genuine connections than downtown Tokyo.

Seriously, don't go to malls and buy stuff to "enhance your image". You are good the way you are. The world has become more narcissistic (lacking empathy and caring). Know that you are not alone. I used to cry thinking I needed someone. Yes, friends are nice to have, but YOU are the only one you can trust. A wise person once told me..."we come into this world alone, and we leave this world alone". It's true. Although we spend even 9 months attached to our mother, we are INDIVIDUALS. Every negative experience you have helps you grow as a person and builds your resiliency. Most importantly, as you age you will "come back to yourself". Accepting it and moving forward will make you a stronger man. Life will get better. This entire video was a carbon copy of my life. I am in my forties and one thing I have learned along the way is that *I have to create my own happiness.* Waiting on someone else to make you happy might not ever come. The first step of my journey to happiness was to let go of ALL the toxic people in my life, family and friends. Since I am an introvert, I wasn't all that upset about being left alone. The next step of my journey was to do hobbies. I absolutely love DIY crafts so I have learned to crochet, knit, woodwork and now I am learning to sew my own clothes using natural fibers like cotton, wool, silk and linen, no toxic plastic polyester and AZO dyed fabrics. Finding a hobby and doing something that you love to do will do wonders for your mental health, no toxic meds needed. Hobbies will help keep your mind occupied and you will also find joy in creating something. By the way Kev, you are not ugly.
@jezzmeister234911 ай бұрын
I’m much younger, and I agree with this advice. I also went through the exact same phase as Kev. I was miserable for so long because I felt like my happiness depended on having people around me to make me feel worthy. And I was miserable when the people around me didn’t meet my expectations. They weren’t there for me the way I expected them to be. Then I did the same thing as u. I focused on climbing myself out of the hole. I gave up on waiting for something external to randomly come into my life and fix it. I pulled myself up by the bootstraps and dragged myself through hell to find what will make me happy. I had to fight back against years of negative thinking and pessimism. I had to learn to believe that I deserve happiness, and that nobody else will give it to me. I’m still fighting that battle. But my life has gotten infinitely better over the past couple of years. It all started with me focusing on my passions, and working towards improvement. Not for somebody else to love me. So that I know without a shadow of a doubt that I have the power to achieve anything I want in this life, and it comes from me. It comes from within. Focusing on doing what I love to do and working on becoming a better person has made my life infinitely better. And now I have hope, because I know that I have the power to give myself happiness. Focusing on your passions is great advice !

Truth, I feel your pain my friend. I even tried to explain this to my family, but they gave me the same generic suggestions and when that doesn't work, they shun and ignore me and tell me to stop being negative and pessimistic. It's honestly so degrading and irritating to say the least and finally waking up to this shit is freeing but depressing in those regards. I just see no point to this life and so many poor ass parents are okay with casually popping out children with no trust funds or actual plans for their futures besides the status quo and if they aren't interested, they turn on them and kick them out. This shit is such a drag and I blame my parents for it every single day of my life.

What generic suggestions did they give exactly? At the end of the day we are responsible for the outcome of our life You need to work hard to achieve things Of course if your parents did something bad to you then yes they are to blame for that But we cant just give up in life If you want inspiration try to find videos about Christianity Because only God can heal your pain fully Thats your choice though In any case i hope and pray you will have a better life .

Brother you're not ugly. People are fake as fuck in this world. I've been through the same shit as you. I never fit in, I had to put on a facade and adopt a group identity countless times until I started being myself. I was always the one supporting everyone, and when I was down, my closest friends never reached out or gave a fuck about me. I called them out on that shit, and some have changed for better and some have left my circle, even after 10+ years of friendship. One thing I will say for certain, you will find genuine people out there. They are rare but they do exist. I've found some myself and they will always embrace you no matter what. Work on yourself. Go to the gym and build your body. Strong body = strong mind. Spend some time sitting in silence and meditating, focus on quieting your mind and filtering out needless bullshit that detracts from your inner peace. For me it was meditating on God, but I appreciate that not everyone has the same experiences. I do all this myself and it works. You have to appreciate the solitude, as an introvert it recharges you considerably. The reason you feel like you dont belong is because you have a way bigger purpose. You're not meant to be as fake and NPC as the people around you. You just have to figure out what that is and you'll find your place in the world. I'm still on the hunt myself, I'm tired of looking too. But its not gonna find itself bro. Only you can do that. I can say for certain that if you are starting that journey or are conscious of that you're already in a better position then where you were. We lack lack purpose. Thats why we're miserable. Hey Kev, I stumbled upon this video, and I have to say, your raw honesty and vulnerability are truly commendable. It takes a lot of courage to share such personal experiences and emotions with the world. Your journey, filled with both highs and lows, resonates with so many people who may be going through similar struggles. First of all, I want to acknowledge your kindness and generosity during your earlier years. It's disheartening to hear that those who benefited from your compassion didn't reciprocate when you needed support. It's a painful realization that the world can sometimes be selfish, especially when it seems like everyone is only around when times are good. Your reflections on relationships hit deep, and many can relate to the challenges of finding genuine connections in a world that often feels isolating. The societal pressures you touch upon, whether it's about education or the expectations placed upon individuals, are issues that so many face but are seldom discussed openly. Your thoughts on the job market and the struggle to find a balance between passion and practicality are so relatable. The frustration of feeling undervalued despite having a degree is a sentiment shared by many, and your words highlight the need for a more inclusive and understanding system. Your contemplation about life's purpose and the relentless nature of its challenges strikes a chord with anyone who has ever questioned the meaning of it all. The societal and familial pressures you discuss are real and impactful, and your message about persevering through the difficulties is both powerful and motivating. Kev, your honesty is a breath of fresh air in a world that often masks its struggles. Your journey, though challenging, is a testament to your resilience and strength. Remember that sharing your story not only helps you heal but also provides solace and understanding to others facing similar battles. Thank you for being brave enough to share your thoughts and feelings. Your authenticity is a reminder that, even in the darkest moments, there is strength in vulnerability. Keep pushing forward, Kev. Your voice matters, and your story has the power to inspire and connect with countless others who may be feeling alone in their struggles. You're not alone, and your words have the potential to create a community of support and understanding. Much love and strength to you on your journey. 💪🌟❤

You are such a sweet loving soul!!!! It’s a privilege to say I understand exactly EXACTLY what you’re saying and feeling as it happened to me. For years, by my own family, it makes you feel like you have to work for ppls love . We are all groomed into believing your worth is based on what you can do for others by self serving ppl. I grew up different, and was abused and bullied by my dad and siblings, but I realized now that every time a problem arises it’s to teach us something, how to change our mindset, heal our inner wounds and CREATED the life we know we deserve. I’ve been cheated on soooo many times, and have extremely bad trust issues. But every day I realize that there are others like you and me. Loyalty is rarrrreeeeeee. Good ppl are FEW IN BETWEEN, so when we find each other, know that you’re having a bond for life. We were programmed to believe that life sucks and there’s nothing we can do about it, grief, pain, sorrow, and masking our true selves bc we believe we have to be some role to receive conditional love. You are going through a soul metamorphosis, and you see the world for how it is. You’re introverted, so you see life through the ideal way of how it can be better EASILY. You have to be authentic and stop thinking you have to live for other ppl, but love unconditionally by connecting to God. Your core center. Kill the internal programmed thoughts, they aren’t yours! Love thyself! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I felt like you were describing my life growing up with everything you mentioned. From wanting to seem "normal" to being nice to everyone only to have those phonies ignore me when I reached out to them. You are definitely not alone in feeling out of place in this sick world we live in. I was in your shoes for awhile where I was going to college for a degree I wasn't even interested in, just doing it because teachers pressured me to go to college after high school. I ended up getting my CDL as soon as I got my degree and I can say it's one of the best decisions I made. Easy money, and work doesn't even feel like work a lot of the time. I don't know what my life would look like if I entered the corporate rat race, but I am thankful to have found my passion at such a young age. I don't know if you're a religious guy or not but I found God for the first time in my life when I was 20 and that turned things around in my social life for the better. The people I met at my school's Christian group were just what you were wanting in relationships- down to earth, non judgemental, and care about who you are as a person, not what physical looks or possessions you have. Even if you don't have any friends in real life, your posting of these videos is making a positive change in other peoples' lives, and you have the support from people on the internet.

@@monk4ever Cool buddy, and i hope if you do get successful you change the world in an actual way to help the average people who the world doesnt ever get better for. Like the guy in the video, or the people in the comments. They all have more potential then you can even imagine, But potential needs to be drawn out and nurtured. Very rarely does it bloom on its own. When you are beat down enough, and in a certain mindset, its very hard for people to see the world clearly. Its why they need guidance and family and friends to help them. We are human, not everyone can be strong on their own and so much potential is lost everyday because of it. So telling people to just "solve the problem" like you have spammed in the reply's helps noone at all. Its people like you, that people feel this way in the first place. They need love, connection and loyalty. Not whatever your giving. Mature emotionally please. Has understanding humans never been a point of interest for you? maybe too concerned with yourself? Its very interesting, i suggest trying it.

not to annoy but please know that we have all did evil (sin) and we are punished to death and since we do evil and reject God we will go to hell but God lovingly provides a way out through Christ where we can be saved if we trust in Gods work on the cross. Turn from your sins and tell your sins to God as Christ makes it possible for us to be forgiven (read John 3:16 please)

Went through that same shit, a horrible feeling. When others are down, you help them up. When it’s you, they leave you to rot. Life in its entirety is a challenge.

I had the sane experience. When I was doing OK in life I helped several friends and family members during their worst times - bad breakups, alcoholism etc. Then when I started to struggle the same people looked at me in disgust, said harsh cruel things and left me to it.

His pain is sincere, and he speaks with authenticity. I respect that, and admire the purity in his pain.
