You know, an average musician can step into a studio and crank out some wizardry and occasionally get the formula right.. put a song on the charts. It takes incredible talent and mastery to be able to walk out on stage, live, decade after decade, and just simply NAIL IT time and time again. For all the accolades he has been bestowed, Joe is still an under-appreciated genius. A true working musician.

Every time I see one of Joes videos I'm reminded of the Saturday night, back home in Cleveland, Ohio, sitting in a club called the Jail, in the suburb of Strongsville. There was this 3 piece band up on the stage just smoking the place. After ending a tune the guitar player (Joe Walsh) steps up to the microphone and says "By the way, tonight is the last time we are playing here because tomorrow we are flying out to LA to record our first album called "The James Gang". That was early in1971and now it's 2021. Yes he lost his license for going 185 mph between Cleveland an Akron on i-77. One of the things on my bucket list is to meet Joe some day and relate that little story, and how I have been a Joe Walsh fan from day one., ;-)
