Val Kilmer actually said that when he was first on set as Batman and they would bring in kids he would jump around and try to entertain them a bit, then he realized they were mesmerized by the Batsuit so all he did was just stand there like he was in a wax museum. So this is pretty fitting haha. And of course that's the correct choice for being Batman anyway.

Batman Forever is a massively underrated Batman movie. On the one hand, its a little dark and serious and Val Kilmer nailed the solemn, tortured, cool Batman persona....on the other hand, the movie is still comic-like, with all the comic elements and styles of a comic adaptation.
