Name plate is wrong. It needs to be between the top of the button and the top of the pocket flap in accordance with AR 670-1

This is the Army's old is new program. Back in the day when we had khakis we wore all that junk on the khaki shirt. After repeated pinnings the fabric wore out and became thread-worn. Then the whole set of khakis had to be replaced because the new shirt wouldn't match the old pants. TW's could be worn in place of khakis, but they were expensive and had to be dry cleaned. Then, around 1980, khakis were obsolete and the Class B uniform became the new green shirt which replaced the poplin shirt of the dress green class A's. The green shirt came in long and short sleeves. Long sleeve shirt was worn with black tie, and short sleeve with open collar. Rank boards were worn on the shirts epaulets. Only the name tag was pinned to the shirt. No ribbons or badges. Now the Army is back to pinning all the bling back on the shirt.
