A break up and still living together? Ouch sweetheart, you cannot heal while living together, the wound stays open and fresh. Do something different now. Start doing hair again. Take a class or two. Volunteer with young kids at a school, or a hospital, one day of the week. Newly divorced I taught fun science labs in our local elementary school, went back to school myself, started rock climbing, upped my kayaking skills, delved deeper into foraging, homeopathy etc Get out, start living again for you. Luckily we jad other people living with us, it was a huuuuge share house and could move into another room when it happened, as another had moved out. It wasn't easy (mosttly his fault) but I managed. The biggest thing that helped me was rearranging furniture. And getting a new comforter and sheets. Little things that were solely mine and not things we shared together once. The heart hurts at random times but relearning to live with your own thoughts, feelings, and doing renovations and such for yourself to enjoy and nobody else will slowly help the heart heal. ❤ sometimes it just takes a reminder that you are the most important thing in your life(and your pets!) I remember when i had my last huge breakup where I had to move out of my dream home and leave a whole life behind, the one thing that got me through the days and hours and hours of crying and panicking and I can’t do this was my dog. Yes, family and friends did their best to light my spirits but I don’t know how i would have survived the darkest lonely moments without her. I love watching you find comfort in your pets presence because it reminds me of how unconditional their love is. It’s the best. Aw Julia, it truly breaks my heart to see you going through this, it had me choked up. You remind me so much of my own daughter, so that's what got me. I know exactly what you're felling cause I've been there. You have the right approach, allowing yourself to feel the emotions. It's a process, loss and grief are something you can't shut off, it has to be gone through, as hard as it is. I think it's good you allow yourself to have those times where you just let it out. Keeping it bottled up will only make it worse. You are a sweet girl and I can't understand why this happened to you, but know that you are worth loving, you matter, and deserve someone to treat you with respect, love and tenderness. Reach out to the Lord, He loves you and wants to heal your heart. Read His Word and you will find answers and peace. I will pray for you. By the way, if you are using a paintable, latex caulk, it helps to wet your finger before smoothing it out. I keep a wet rag next to me when caulking, it works great. Your sink and grouting looks fantastic, you do awesome work!

I've found that taking long walks has helped a lot. It looks like you are in a countryside area so that will help too as there is more natural beauty and fresh air. That's cool that you are running. If there are any races, you may want to look into signing up. I've found those to be really encouraging and positive as well. It is also a good thing that you are getting eggs from your chickens. Home grown food is the best. You can look into growing fruits and herbs and veggies. Yay homestead in your name! :) So truly the breakup is sad, but there are a lot of avenues you can go on from here. Sadness, yes, but also plenty of optimism for a fresh start.

As someone who has been alone for almost two years my advice for you is to do a project where you pour every single emotion you have into it and keep it forever as a reminder where you were and where you are later. Running is the best way to keep your mind off the past. You’re still young and it’ll get way better just try to keep your head up and say you love yourself in the mirror everyday.

My husband surprised me after being together for 42 years I was 21 when we got together he left me for a younger woman goes off having lots of holidays while I'm left to look after my Grandson who is 12 my son don't live with me.
