You're so right about the life tips... I feel like you've accomplished a ton at 23!! At 23 I was still in school... And plus, the biggest blessing you have is that you have a bf who supports and loves you, family who is healthy (and hopefully also supportive ), and a healthy body! I try not to compare myself to others age too, but it's super hard..😔

I completely agree! Being able to spend time with the people who matter the most (my family, friends, Kev and you guys!) is the most important to me. Comparison is the thief of joy

I totally relate to comparison. I am 26 and im only planning on uni next year. I feel behind but im happy I waited so I know im doing the right course for me.
@hiqu13 жыл бұрын
I completely agree that everyone is on there own path to success and yes some people are successful by the time they’re 23. Additionally, I would also call making a 6 figure salary at 23 successful even without the material objects like a sports car to prove it. Unlike Miki most people don’t make 6 figures by the time they are 23. Most people also still live with parents at 23 assuming their parents still allow them too. Although Miki never mentioned explicitly she was unsuccessful, she kind of implied it. Not trying to start a fight or anything but please check your privilege before saying something and posting on KZbin for your subscribers and others to see. It sets a bad example for the younger audiences. To everyone out there who’s still living with the parents and not quite making 6 figures at 23, don’t be discouraged, your time will come. To those who are younger, there is no one definite definition on success. Miki’s definition of success is different from everyone else’s definition so please don’t ever say your not successful when your making 6 figures a year.
@mikirai3 жыл бұрын
I appreciate your constructive criticism! I apologize if it came across wrong. I'm extremely grateful and privileged to live the life I do and I wouldn't change a thing. The point I was trying to get across in the video is that regardless of your age or your achievements, you can still look on the other side and feel like the grass is greener, but that's an incredibly unhealthy mindset. No one should compare their own timeline to other people, and it's important that we enjoy the present.
@natashalee38103 жыл бұрын
I don't think she meant that she wasn't successful? Everyone can have their insecurities and everyone's worries are valid no matter how successful other people deem them to be. She was merely reminding everyone that they should follow their own pace.

I just entered business school, the course is 2.5 years and everyone is like super smart and capable. My confidence crumbled so much and i'm still learning not to compare myself with other students. I'm also telling myself to relax a bit and stop reaching for A's, and it is okay to do the course in 3 years instead of 2.5.. I mean it isn't right? Thank you Miki for your advice, I will try my best!

I just turned 24, am working on my MSN and live with my grandma at her home with my husband. When you said not to compare yourself, I felt that because I logically know I'm still young but you can't help but compare to peers and feel like "wow, I'm old and need to hurry up." At the end of the day we each have different versions of success, and I loved the way you addressed this topic!

Am I really the only one who thinks that it's crazy to consider buying a house together with someone you're not married to? I love Kev & Miki and I can see them working out well into the future but it's still a huge risk to take that could spell a lot of trouble down the road if things do end up going sour.
@yourer3 жыл бұрын
They're probably planning on getting married real soon. Otherwise, I agree. Buying a home with someone you're not married to is a huge risk especially if one person is paying more for it. Worse case scenario, both their names are on the title and they sell the house and split it 50/50.
