I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this video Amber. I made myself a cup of tea and waited until my husband went to bed. I love thrift stores, flea markets and yard sales. You can always find good used items, especially clothes. I love the geese jar, bathroom cabinet and the recipe box. I hate finding hand written recipes, if you try any of those recipes please share with us. ❤❤

That's precious blessed to have something from someone who doesn't want them but I know u will enjoy them all of them sounds good to me I loved everything u got at the thrift store I really enjoyed u talking u sure are. I love thrift store shopping, I get excited when I find awesome items like you did. My sister n law told me once that she didn't mind getting a gift from thrift/yard sale shopping because I always found awesome stuff. Keep on thrifting.

That was a pretty nice thrift haul. I have a recipe box exactly like that 1 that was my grandma's. I also have cookbooks dating back to the 40's. People are not sentimental any more. I actually heard a friends daughter tell her to make sure she habe away all her stuff before she dies so she didn't have to do it ... 😲 WOW😢... I could not believe what I heard.

Oh wow…. That’s awesome!!!! I knew it was older and had to belong to someone’s grandmother and I just couldn’t imagine tossing out items. That is so sad to hear. I’ve told my girls that if they do not want the items that I have then to please find someone that does respect and enjoy the vintage to pass them on to. Both girls said nope…. We plan on keeping your stuff mom. lol they were just arguing over my cookbooks the other day over who got them and I told them I was still here…., that I didn’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon.

Maybe it was a single person’s recipes. I don’t have kids and am well aware that most of the things I own and cherish will be sent to a thrift store or dump when I die. It’s helped me to keep the mindset that I shouldn’t own anything I don’t cherish or actually use.

Could you go to the goodwill bins close to you. I don’t know if it’s north or South Carolina but hairy tornado can buy a bag of plush for a dollar or 50c on half price day.

We don’t have the bins close to me, however when I travel with work my coworker and I will go to the goodwill bin store in VA and one in GA. I love a good thrift store.

Me too. Even in the UK, the deals can be crazy too. I tend to purchase jewellery and brought A broken brooch robbed of diamonds but has a beautiful big citrine in it. It’s big too.

I understand that your oldest child has a job. What is she doing with that money. Saving for college? Once my children turned 18. And were Graduated. They contributed to the household.

She does have a job and she does help out with the household as well. She is still enrolled in school and pays her school bills along with her phone bill. She even contributes in other ways as well.
